I like the idea of Norbert being a recurring character, as D'Snowth said, Marty can take anything and make it an interesting character. I just hope Telly's not gone for good. The song in the street story was really good. The new Elmo and Tango segment seems like fun so far. We'll have to wait...
Jen has said "I just don't have the same vocal instrument that Fran does, I just don't, and if I try to manufacture that, it's gonna sound really strained in my voice."
I kinda figured this out already, given their appearances together on the Barretta Brothers, but the latest episode of Below the Frame confirmed that Peter Linz and Alice Dinnean are a couple! So Skye and Julie, Nuzzle and Sizzle from Puzzle Place, and Jack and Jill from Learning to Share are a...
The Mr. Blue Sky performance showed how the Muppet performers could have another career as singers. The Kermit bit was a nice message about how we need to do more to care for the environment.
Joe Hennes: You and I were the driving force behind the Kerfuffle. (Jarrod Fairclough groans) By which I mean revealing the news of the Kerfuffle. Just to give some clarity, the Kerfuffle is what we call the drama, the news, all the stories surrounding Steve Whitmire being let go from the...
Fair warning to everyone who saw this: The Barretta Brothers are doing a whole show about this at 7 PM eastern time. So feel free to ask them questions about it.
This special was a ton of fun. Johnny and Sal having a pretty sizable role was great. I liked that Rizzo just had a two-second cameo because they didn't recast him. It was a good way to incorporate him. The music was also really good. I love Bill and Matt's vocals in Dancing in the Moonlight.
CBS reporter: So if Jim really understood the characters, you have been pretty critical of Disney for not sorta getting these characters.
Frank Oz: Not critical, it's weird. The trouble with print is they can't print tone, and my tone wasn't combative, my tone is hopeful and pleating. Because...
I finally got around to seeing this. Seeing Jon Stone's kids interviewed was a nice treat. I really liked seeing all the behind-the-scenes footage and outtakes, plus the footage of the cast and crew singing Put Down the Duckie.
When Matt became Kermit, he recommended Peter Linz to be Robin, but kept playing everyone else. I don't think we have to worry. Still as JD Hansel said, "He really does do a lot of performing and directing, that I don't know how he manages to stay so energetic when he's doing something like...
It's not really his fault, Ryan's natural voice is in a tenor range, so because of that, Elmo sings in a higher range than he did when Kevin played him. They should have changed the instrumental track to fit Ryan's key better. I still think Ryan is great at singing as Elmo. Just hear his version...
Someone was kind enough to put a bunch of episodes of the Sesame podcast into one place:
The animal episode is at 17:28, the birthday episode is at 35:30, the doctor episode is at 52:56, the monster episode is at 1:11:00, and the superhero episode is at 1:29:07. Also one of the episodes that's...
David Rudman: There was a Sesame bit, cause I started doing Cookie right around 2000, and Frank and I shared it for a few years, so when Frank would come in, he would play Cookie, and when he was gone, I would do it. So they wrote this bit that Cookie and Grover were in together, and Frank was...
Joe Hennes: So Kynan, what was Save the Muppets?
Kynan Barker: It was a massive overreaction to Disney wanting to cast extra performers. When I say overreaction, I'm still against that idea, the idea of multiple Kermits, a cruseship Kermit, a shopping mall Kermit and a movie Kermit. But the...
