I can talk freely about series 7. The info is out - a little earlier than Ken and Co. wanted but hey, it's like getting toothpaste back in the tube. Aint gonna happen.
That's right, there will be three Johnny figures evenly packed in every shipment. Pinstripe, Burgundy and a slight resculpt...
I'm pretty sure he'll be accurately sized. Apparently he has been the most challenging to date. It's good they've saved him for later. Ken also reports that he will be the must have figure of that series.
Luke suggested that Sal would be made smaller because Ken has hinted he will come with a pack-in of some sort. I don't think that's accurate information. I'd imagine Sal to be around Gonzo-sized. :concern:
It was said that Sal was the one that needed major work now, not Johnny. I believe that Johnny's face lift happened a little before Sal was dropped. I see no reason to hold Johnny back (sounds like a letter from a school LOL!) I think he'll do just fine. I don't see how a Sal pack-in would help...
I love it and plan to buy them all. Of course it would be nice to have a new character other than Kermit, but we already know that re-costumed main characters are a must to anchor each wave now (and I don't fear for their stock LOL! Word is these have been doing well so far.) The fact that Polly...
I went up to Tower the day the Storyteller was supposed to be released and aksed about it. They had the Denver DVD, but not the Storyteller. The buyer (also a Muppet fan) said they ordered them and the hadn't come in yet. I went back there three times in the last couple weeks and they keep...
Now that is strange. Does that have anything to do with the EMTV merger or the EMTV subsequent buy-out by the family? It's smart if the Henson was charging EMTV (through Henson Co) for the space. :)
Wow! I guess it was my assumption with the Kermit statue and all that they acquired the studio when they bought Chaplin, or does EMTV own that now? Something I never thought.
That's what I was thinking. Great pic. I wonder if it was actually taken right after Jim's death or done for another project? It would have to be rushed if it were created right after Jim died, but would make more sense.
It would be easier to ignore the pictures if the weren't on every single product. LOL! He's the most famous frog in the world. There's more than one photo of him. You know, I think it would be cool if someone researched the most popular Kermit (and possibly Piggy) picture for every year or two...
I'm not wild about many of those puppets. Sam looks really strange and Kermit is terrible. However, I do like Piggy better than many of the modern ones being used. No floating heads! In all it will be a good composition. I look at it as getting the characters' "wrong side". Noticable, but not a...
I'd expect they'd keep the New York building just as they kept the Creature Shop. There's too much history wrapped in the building. Chaplin Studios could easily be sold, but they rent it out to other artists so it probably turns a profit.
There are so many animal beans floating around from various companies that would easily fit into the set. That's what I'm going to do. :halo:
Haven't received the minis yet, but I am excited.
It is done. I like that list. I think yours is probably the closest if not spot on! Thanks for the heads up about the penguin. Didn't remember reading that. :zany:
My thoughts is that these characters will be in arches. Has that been confirmed?
It's always sad when people lose their jobs, but Henson really needed to tighten their belt. This can be a good thing for the company as a whole. At the very least the Creature Shop is still running.
I feel that in time Henson will rebuild their entertainment division in the UK, but...
