Well, I don't think there is any muppet canon. I mean, it's not like you can make a realistic timeline out of any of the productions.
This is another sign that the muppets are being used the same as cartoon charatcers. It's not the same. You can't just hand puppets over to a bunch of...
Now see, your Kermit looks very different from other pictures I have seen, yet it is the esact same product. Very nice head shape you got.
As for tips of my own, I have none. Don't have a Kermit yet. I didn't pre-order one because I wanted to see some final product pics before dropping the...
Yes, I don't think it's an evil thing to say that learning how to position Kermit will make him look better. Proper positioning will make him look like the high end replica he is.
It's nice, but the pupils really throw off the look. It seems that the poser body and head is realy nice and probably perfect to some version of Kermit, but I think people need lessons in posing him. I see squisjhed heads and necks and stuff that should be fixed.
So John Kenedy did Kermit? That's not the long time established performer I was expecting. Seems like they just used a bunch of new guys that never really got big within the Muppets thus were cheaper. Of course I'd have to see some tape to know if it was a good change or not.
Word of advice, Bobby and Wayne shaire the sameh ead (It htink) so might I suggest doing the blank head first, moldingi t, and then adding the detail for each character's head. Would save you a lot of work if you haven't already done it.
I do hope that we see more known characters return, even if they arel ike the monsyter from last time. Stuff like that reminds us that these are in fact muppets.
Are you saying that Disney did pay the creature shop what they wanted and that they did not change to a cheaper company that doesn't seem to make very good puppets? It's not bashing if it's true. You can't make everyone love Disney and the choices they have made. If you're going to have a...
Good to know that Kermit sold well. I never got the money together to buy one. :( I do hope to soon though I may have to pass on these altogether even though I don't want to. Especially with Gonzo!
I don't know if it's just me, but it seems Statler and Waldorf got rebuilt and it's not pretty. But Sam does make an appearance which i liked. I still say this guy does an amazing Sam. Oh, and Scooter's head was used on a puppet. This show wasn't too bad, but I'm not liking the new puppets...
I think it looks more detailed than Kermit because of the character and the fact that there are some rather good plushes out there, as travis pointed out. This will be the first and probably ONLY good Gonzo item out there made from fabric. This is where the line will get amazing.
Now THIS is what I'm talking about!
Even though the clothes aren't final, can we see them anyway? Perhaps with a stamp over it saying not final?
It looks good. The nose shape looks off, but with all the versions of the nose it'sh ard to really tell. THis is amazing for a first pass though.
Yeah they tried in the 80's to update them, hence the pony tail of Janice that JUST WON'T GO AWAY! They even gave her a pony tail in MTI.
Anyway, if they kept that up maybe it would have worked, but they just seem dated. They're 70's look is more than just clothes. It's the way they...
