Very cool. When I saw the title though I thought it was something new and that Eric was performing Piggy on screen with Frank Oz, which is something I really hope to see some day now.
Wow, Elmo is amazing on talk shows. Kevin Clash really is an amazing performer and he plays up Elmo so well! I think when the character of Elmo is allowed more freedom he becomes far less annoying. I wish Kevin would work more with the muppet show muppets. He's so in tune with that muppet...
I have a great sense of humor, but this was just in poor taste, especially some of the stuff about recasts and such. The premise isn't even my main problem. It just seemed odd, poorly done, and even insulting in some places. I couldn't even get through it all. April Fools Day does not change...
I think the Bill and Brian dynamic is pretty much gone. When was the last time we saw Jonny and Sal together? Oz? Since then Brian Henson doesn't seem to have much if anything to do with the muppets, at least not the disney owned ones.
It's possible that certain versions of Mahna Mahna were not allowed as very similar characters were on Sesame Street. So, I would assume, that at the time someone may have been asking about a non-muppet show vesion.
I'm in need of any and all Hi-res pictures of Sal, full body if possible. I can't seem to find any good pictures of Sal through search engines. Anyone have any?
Wow, that guy was annoying as all get out. Piggy's stimulus package joke was a little...less than subtle.
I really hate that hair on Piggy. It's far too stiff. I did like her fending off the weird creepy guys advances. That guy is just...odd...and not funny...
The appearance seemed good to me. Piggy was far less annoying. In the web episodes and even in the last special she seemed way too hyper and annoying, in this one she seemed more like Piggy. Watchable. I liked the red dress puppet more than the other one, probably the hair.
I liked it. I think there was just enough Sesame in there. After all, it's still Scrubs. The Grover bit was actually the only one I didn't think fit well.
Dumb question, but are they allowed to call the Sesame Street characters "the Muppets"? I thought since all the selling went down only Disney could use "The Muppets" in reference to the Muppet Show gang. I suppose since this is on ABC they decided to wave that.
It's weird the snuffy stopped being imaginary in like 86 and he is still considered an imaginary friend of big bird. He's been visible longer than not!
I figured they would open up animal's page soon. with all the new animal videos it was a matter of time. I like that iunlike the muppet studios page this site actually gets it's content out. I don't know who has taken charge of the muppets but they are doing a bang up job.
