I liked "BBSFBDAY" more than I thought I would. Here, Beast Boy feels bad about how Starfire's species don't celebrate birthdays, so he offers to share his with her despite Raven's warnings about this sort of thing, which culminated in a beatdown and tearful apology. I liked how both of them...
Moana stayed on top for its 2nd week and should be able to stay on top from here on out, that is until Rogue One comes out. Overall, it's not earning as much as Frozen, but it should earn quite a bit more once it gets released in more countries...
With the new episode finally airing, we finally got to see more Zephyrians in the real world, and this time it's Zorn's old drinking buddy Headbutt Man and his homely daughter, the former clearly meant as a parody of Ram Man. Zorn gets really disappointed that Butt sobered up at the behest of...
Last night's episode of season 2 (dumped onto Boomerang, strong ratings be darned) which had Sonic's super speed experiment go horribly awry made a reference to Blast Processing, which was that buzzword Sega used for the Genesis/Megadrive to describe its fast CPU. That one really floored me. :)
If it were a case of "So my kids can watch", I'd understand the decision. Lots of actors who do adult stuff do that. However, Amy Schumer has no kids to speak of.
I'd say she'd be more fitting in a Bratz movie. :D
Anyone see the Christmas episode yet? Here, Santa finally decided to cancel Christmas, leaving the Titans Garbage Children to take over for him. Gotta love how Robin insisted on being Santa over the more qualified Sticky Joe because his ego wouldn't allow it, and no matter how much of a strain...
Really? Most critics seem to love it. And to be fair, I feel that Disney has been trying to subvert a lot of those tropes in recent years, like with Frozen. I haven't seen Moana yet, so I can't judge for myself.
That was a pretty epic new episode. A boy wishes to have someone to have a snowball fight with, so Uncle Grandpa takes him to the North Pole to battle with snowmen. The whole thing plays out like a war movie, complete with the boy taking an ice-cold snowball to the chest and UG having to remove it.
We got a Belson-focused Christmas episode this time, and it's about his much more selfish cousin Mooch coming over to visit, and Clarence trying to amend their relationship. The ending was oddly heartwarming in the way
Another thing that was cool was that Amethyst was wearing her outfit from the pilot. Which was just like her original outfit from the beginning, except with a sweater instead of a tank top.
Boy, it's getting awfully lonely around here. :sigh:
Anyway, "Poorbucks" was a really good episode, and definitely makes me wonder why something like this wasn't done in the original series. We get the age-old scenario of the rich person (i.e. Princess Morbucks) losing their wealth, and staying...
In tonight's episode of Fresh Off the Boat, the B-plot had Louis get some newly-bleached teeth that became blindingly white. The grandmother called Louis (the father) "your favorite Muppet, Dr. Teeth" when presenting him to the kids. :D
I know Robert Zemeckis wanted a sequel, and was threatening one for years. I bet it would have used mo-cap technology, which at least would allow the actors to react to something. Thank Glob his animation studio went under after Mars Needs Moms flopped tremendously.
So, NC just put out an editorial about the Disney sequels we want. The only one I agree with is Fantasia, if only because Disney intended for it to get an annual re-release with a couple of new segments replacing the old ones, but World War II put a stop to that idea. And even though it's...
It was great to see Him returning for the third time, even though I totally called it. Also, am I the only one who felt kinda creeped out over Him-ified Bubbles and Blossom? Not just because of their voices, but also because of their new kinky boots they got in the process that made them look a...
