If you want a replica, you'll be paying hundreds of dollars for it at the very least. Sorry, but there's no way around it. Making puppets is labor-intensive, painstaking work, and Antron fleece doesn't grow on trees.
If you want something inexpensive, I suggest gluing a bit of brown felt on...
Plus, people are buying Robin Williams movies like mad, which sends them to the top of the list and takes up some of the dollars that would have gone to MMW.
I have a fanzine titled "Richard Hunt, Gay Muppeteer," which includes a mention of something Nureyev supposedly said to Hunt. It didn't talk about the repercussions, but I figured that this was probably the, er, event.
I can understand nobody wanting to go on record on this matter. I sure...
Count, you've read The Tin Woodman of Oz? Or did you get that from a wiki? If the former, I'm impressed!
Hash Inc. has made a CGI musical based on that book, and it's head and shoulders above the usual fan films, but it has its definite weak points. They cut the Tin Soldier completely out of...
I have a copy of the 1914 PWGoO film. It doesn't bear much resemblance to the book. I also have a CGI fan film that, while very faithful to the book, is really amateurish and the voice acting is terribly flat. I mean a full-on, modern film.
A lot of the background Fraggles were "whatnots," with detachable hair so they could be changed around. If you are familiar enough with the characters, you can spot many familiar faces among the Ancient Fraggles in Mokey, Then and Now despite everybody being bald.
So, back to the topic, it'd...
Antron fleece, foam, and fur dry out pretty easily. I don't know if any other substances are used in the puppets--special glue, for example--that might be affected by the water.
I'd like to do this with one of my Fraggle puppets, but after you wet ostrich feathers they don't just dry out nice...
If it's more Fraggle fic you're looking for, check out the fic index. I've written quite a lot of Fraggle fic, ranging from short-short stories to 30-chapter serials to mock episodes of the animated series.
No problem. Have fun with the icewater, if you choose to accept Matt's challenge.
I've done others. One was about standing in line at Dragon*Con, and the other was about finding huge Doozer constructions in a local mall.
*chuckles* I should have guessed the Count would make a day of it. I...
Dear Nephew Gobo,
Today I have learned about a strange custom of the Silly Creatures. They dump buckets of ice water on themselves to cure disease in others. I'm not sure how it works, but one of them requested I join in, and your Uncle Matt is never one to back down from a challen--...
Oh. Well, if it's in a wiki, it must be true.
He's not on the wall during the finale. So, if he is there, he'd be in the scene in which Nadya sticks Kermit to the wall after he tries to escape.
I'd thought that it would have been them MST3King the film, the way the director did with Rizzon & Gonzo in the Muppets from Space DVD. That would have been so much fun.
Matt had a full baloobius when he was young. Maybe Fraggle pattern baldness happens at both ends? Has anyone seen the World's Oldest Fraggle's baloobius?
Fun trivia: Fraggle baloobiuses are the same color as their hair. The exception is Convincing John, who has a gray baloobius and black...
Neato! I can't wait to read this!
(Oh...it was Red who asked Boober what death was like. That was after they'd switched roles, with Red being frightened and out of her element and Boober being calm.)
They're a clothing optional species. Maybe they don't find pants comfortable, especially while swimming. Matt Fraggle is the only one I can think of who wears pants, and I think he does it to blend in with the Silly Creatures.
I love the MGM film, but, yeah, I don't like the "it's all a dream" cop-out. And I was surprised when I read the book to find out that Baum's Dorothy is no damsel in distress. Though she's only about ten, she is calm and in charge much of the time. During the tornado ride she takes a nap...
