This was a two-part sketch.
PART 1: Cookie Monster is scared to go to sleep because he thinks there's a monster in the corner. Ernie gets out of his bed to show him that it's really just a blanket on a chair, but when Ernie returns to his bed, Cookie Monster has taken over it.
PART 2...
Incidentally, Mark Caballero, the animation director at RC, worked on a short puppet film a few years ago - Graveyard Jamboree with Mysterious Mose. The main character looked somewhat similar to :D, and the film used puppets in both stop-motion and real time. A beautiful thing, ain't it? :)

I saw it in the theater, many months ago. I was hoping it would be better, but I thought it was kind of overdone in terms of 70's music, scenery and anthropomorphism (which the Shreks had just the right amount of). Will Smith's...
I love the part in "Scared Silly" when she picks Wembley up by the shirt collar and yells "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!!" after which she sets him down and literally walks over him! :) :D :crazy:
