I love the Thinking Kermit statue as well. It's all really cool stuff. I don't think I care for the waterglobe though...I had a bad experience where the interior of a Franklin Mint waterglobe now looks like it has mucus in it. Uck.

Hot Topic recently had a Lamb Chop hand puppet which was beautiful and looked nearly 100% like the real one. I then searched out and got a Hush Puppy and Charlie Horse hand puppets as well. Finally, several years ago I found some little PVC figures of the three which stand about 3 inches tall...
"Picky" means if it represents the character well (Palisades action figures, NECA's Ghostbusters and Nightmare Before Christmas action figures) then I want it. If it doesn't (MEZCO's Blues Brothers), then I don't want it.
Shaver, good idea. Forgot about that method. In a church I used to attend they had a HUGE puppetry room and had a ton of the smaller puppets up on the wall in the same fashion, had plastic bags over them to keep them from getting dusty; the bigger puppets were in crates stacked on the floor...
Not if all they make are christmas movies...
Keep in mind, too, that Disney was also involved in several of the Muppets productions that the JHC was doing as well. Both TV and Movies. You know the titles. I think Muppets From Space was the only thing Disney didn't participate in, that was...
I think a full history of these abbreviated titles were either in Jim Henson the Works book, or on the www.henson.com website? I saw a breif, but full, history on this subject somewhere once. Interesting stuff.
I don't know. So far, that's about the only disappointment I've had with Disney was their spokesperson saying that. I noticed they cancelled it, and was looking forward to that all happening. I thought it would make a great TV special or a DVD purchase.
That art is great.
I prefer conventional puppetry to CGI. Something more life-like about real puppets and you can get better improvisation than you can from a scripted, CGI film. However, if it's a long-shot and you are showing the Fraggles walking along a sidewalk or a field in the movie...
