Hi, all.
You know I'll be closing this thread because there's not a lot of positive feelings going on here.
First of all, I'll say that i'm always amused when a thread about spelling and grammar has mispellings and the grammar isn't what it should be! HA HA!! That always makes me laugh...
Travis, thanks for sharing these pics with us! I have 2 words to sum up my reaction:
Awe. Some.
That's beautiful. I can't wait to know what the MSRP is going to be on these so I can get my funds in order now!
Kev
Those look pretty good. I mean, admittedly, they got Jareth's hair shape down okay--color is off.
They'll never beat your Hoggle, though. Never. And why all the goblins? Where's Sir Didymus and Ludo and the Fierys?
I HOPE he does this right! I loved that book forever, and when I lost my copy from as a kid, I went straight out and bought it again!! Every good home should have this book.
Laszlo, this is where that portfolio I told you long ago you need to make would come in handy. I say e-mail JHC and send them links, send them a resume and letter, and try and set up an appointment. I know it's a long walk from where you are (LOL) but I think it's definitely worth your effort...
Lazarus, you post with such pessimism and it's sad. Didn't you learn anything from the work of Jim Henson? There's always promise. Besides, I suggest the DVD over what you saw on TV. TV WAS bad, but MWoO is GOOD on DVD when all the parts are added in there that make the movie...a movie...
I agree with Ravagefrackle. Stay anonymous, folks.
Jerry (or Dave) said so at MuppetFest, "Folks at MC would know what we were doing before WE knew what we were doing." Jerry also gave us a huge plug at MF.
I can't wait to see him completed!! I bet he's gonna be great!
What references are you using, or is the lower-half your artistic license? I would have pictured that as his legs, too.
You do great work.
Yes, they do read MC, and TP. When in California I spoke with someone very close to the Henson family at the Museum of Television and Radio and she says they read these posts. As a matter of fact, I'm half-way embarassed posting this because it's likely that she is reading this right now...
