I don't think he mentioned that. It's clear that Disney figured out that the performers aren't replaceable in such circumstances and that it took that instance for them to figure it out. I think the fan voices helped (even though it wasn't specified). Every bit of support in that instance was...
Seems like they changed the name for marketing reasons. Maybe they found the word "puppet" in the title turned people off, maybe they wanted a fresh start so that audiences knew this wasn't a rerun of previous Puppet Up material, maybe the Puppet Up title is legally tied to different backters...
If you don't mind my asking, how long does an average panel take to draw? I'm not a graphic novel artist, but know it must be a challenge filling a book with stellar art in a time crunch. I know it varries, but on average, how long does it take for the final uncolored ink?
Wow! King Arthur is so froggin' gorgeous. They should make sure Dave is always working on a series of these. I love this interpretation of the Muppets. I relate to this comic style the most. And the “special character” in the market is fantastic! :scary:
I always looked at Bert & Ernie as being lifelong friends in their early 20s. Sure, they're quirky and a little heavy into letters and numbers, but to me these guys are not unlike college students sharing an apartment together. I see them as human-muppets in the same sort of grown up muppet...
I think they do show the whole openings when played individually. There are episodes that have an A & B segment that doesn't roll the credits in between, but that's the way it aired. However, I've never pushed the "play all" button so maybe the openings are cut under those circumstances.
I've seen a lot of those cheeky official types of shirts in the trendy shops of the Castro (the well-known gay section of San Francisco) for years. They're harmless and don't define the characters, but definitely cater to the gay market that sees the implied message in them. This one has both...
Drag and female impersonation have been used in entertainment for years and there's no real simple answer to the motivations. Some say that it’s about poking fun at gays, some thing it glorifies diversity and some see it as a comedic device in varying degrees of respectfulness.
I must admit...

That's not entirely true. NBC didn't force Jay to leave although they may have pressured him into the situation. He should have declined the offer back then, but he let this passive aggressive charade play out that never permitted Conan's Tonight Show the same growth opportunities that Jay took...
Yeah, I'm looking forward to those, but doozer-shaped ones would me much more interesting. They really could create an industry of collectibles in doozer vinyls alone. Henson Co really needs some young fresh folk on their marketing team. There seems to be so many missed opportunities and I don't...
I still think that the Dr Doozer people should create urban vinyl style doozers with both traditional and creative designs. These types of items are often upscale and respected so that would be in keeping with their pricier product, but still more affordable and geared to those who grew up with...
Still seems uber exclusive for the Muppety market. Only 10 total. These aren't intended for the average fans like 99% of the people here. They are kind of cool, but still not accurate-looking enough for the $200 price range and especially not the $700 price range. Nonetheless, hope you take...
I caught some of it. He seems to be repeating the same blame-game that happened years ago with Dave. Nothing is Jay's fault. He's the victim. I bet he's counting on the idea that most people have ADD like the majority of his viewers and won't remember the last few months.
