Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
The Looney Tunes have had a hard time adjusting since Warner Brothers abandoned the cartoons' creators and their visions for the characters. Even Disney consulted Chuck Jones for Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but WB didn't want one bit of his involvement on Space Jam (and it shows). The characters...
If the Snoop Dog factor takes hold, Zack Galifianakis' media stunt on Bill Maher might cost him his role in the new Muppet movie. I hope not. He's a funny guy. I just have doubts Disney would keep his cameo. We'll see.
Hindsight is always 20/20, but that's what fan forums are about. I'm glad that Shemin realizes the absence of our favorite Swede like I do. Still, the great cutaways and the rest of the classic Muppet bits make this project worth it. This, like Studio DC, is not necessarily for the longtime...
That and they initially used the image of the Swedish Chef (and only the Swedish Chef) to promote the show. It makes sense for people to be confused. I'd at least like to see him participate more...maybe make it seem like he's there on an executive level because they don't want him to cook. :hungry:
I don't understand it, but there's a lot of irrational Muppet hatred at Disney boards.
Heck, as a Muppet fan I'll critique the frog out of things including this project, but if it were available on DVD I'd buy it! Studio DC too, but mostly it would keep my dusty copy of Kermit's Swamp Years...
I was wondering who'd post this. No one will be fooled by this, of course. Chinese and Thailand piracy is a longtime issue that the entertainment industry has been unable to correct. They tend to leave it up to the US government to correct because there's little else that can be done. Take a...
My thinking is that there's not only difficulty in finding Fraggle Movie suitors, but finding a fit with a studio that will maintain the integrity of the Fraggles. There are endless companies that want to make films for brands like Fraggle Rock, but they want do everything in CG and get pop...
The Disney Store is back, but in a different location and under Disney management. They are now right by the Apple store where the Benetton used to be. It's two floors of Disney goodness. Sure, they have the usual tot stuff and princess items out the wazoo, but they keep that toward the back of...
I agree. And they're doing some great things with the Scooby Doo brand now that I think would work great for Sesame.
Figure Sets
Two Packs
Single Packs and Other Items
This isn't pie-in-the-sky stuff. I can easily see it stocked on Toys R Us shelves.
I tried to launch an account there, but it's just so tweaky on every computer and internet hook-up available.
I'm used to designing sights and uploading to them without so many constraints. If anything DA should be a networking tool to guide users to more stable web environment.
I'm not...
McFarlane's stuff actually does pretty well. It's his Simpsons Movie and clunky Hannah Barbara lines that kind of stunk up the shops and even those were quality representations of the characters. But now McFarlane is focused on sports figures. I just don't understand the appeal, but to each...
The action figure industry is very tough and both companies Fun 4All and Palisades Toys were small fish compared to Hasbro, Mattel or even NECA. Remember a time when NECA had so many things announced that either got canceled or took forever to actually come out? So that's why I wouldn't call...
I agree. We're privileged to have Muppety content to dissect and there's more good in it than not-so-good. There's really nothing "bad" IMHO. A lot of missed opportunities and they appear to be addressing some of them.
One thing that's a little funny to me is that Rachael Ray is listed as a...
