I noticed something while watching the Bruce Forsyth episode.
As you may know, in this episode, Fozzie Bear is trying to master the art of handling hecklers. In the middle of the show, Kermit guarantees Fozzie that Statler & Waldorf will not heckle him that night. The reason? The show's...
Travelling Matt, these are just getting better and better! The Statler & Waldorf comments on Sweetums' number, the Chef spot, and the end are first-rate, the parts with Sweetums and Frazzle are perfect. UK Spot is well-chosen; British themes (and costumes) were often highlights of the UK...
My vote goes for Cheapest! Just loved the premise and sound of that one.
Of course, if Next Muppet Movie means prominent roles for some of the lesser-known/oft forgot about Muppets, I'd consider this one too.
David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole
Hey Travelling Matt, this is one of your best yet.
A tip- At the Dance usually comes before the UK Spot. Other than that it reads just like the real thing!
David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole
If there were a Fletcherbird, perhaps he could come with an At the Dance playset? After all, he was a dancer and the larger characters are going to have to be worked into playsets.
But anyway, I seriously doubt that either Fletcher or the Bossmen will be made- too obscure, even by fan...
Ken- two Link questions
Ken,
Looking at the pic of Link again, the eyes look better now. But I still have two questions:
Link changed noticeably between seasons 3 & 4 of TMS. Not just the design (yours looks like the older, classic one) but also the color. The original had a...
Ken,
Link looks more like the older version, and he looks great at that! The only thing I'm not completely sold on is the eyes, but that's probably just because they're not painted yet; once I see them painted they'll probably look fine. Sideshow, IMO, didn't do a good job with Link's eyes...
Lips-
The question you ask cannot be answered as of now. Many of these, such as the Blondie Band from the Debbie Harry episode, are highly, highly unlikely.
Lips and Clifford are on Ken's 'Extreme Wish List', as is Pepe. Uncle Deadly is also a good possibility for a fan fave. I don't know...
Telly-
Out of that list, some are more likely than others. Here's what I remember from Ken:
Originally, Ken figured that out of the big monsters, only Sweetums and DogLion were at the forefront, but the fans were quick to place Thog ahead of DogLion, so now it seems that as far as big...
Ryan-
Can you describe some of those latter mentioned sketches, like Father & Son monster and Garbage Can Muppet? Also, how is Sclrapp Flyapp creepier than Hugga Wugga?
David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole
A lot of PRODUCERS mentions. Personally, I would have done it differently, since he's famous for more than just The Producers- he's also got A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Guys and Dolls, and The Lion King. Also, five songs for Nathan? That's more than ANYBODY ever had on...
Uncle Deadly on The Tonight Show
He was on it?! What did he do? Details, please! I think that would constitute his last appearance to date.
David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole
Hey all!
While I don't think I could organize such a thing myself, I was thinking how cool it would be if someone had a cover band that played Fraggle Rock music. The music is terrific, and works even when removed from the context of the show. Problem is copyrights, but that's part of how...
Speaking of Electric Mayhem and folk collaborations, when I first heard the song "Sweet City Woman" I immediately thought of the Muppet jug-band doing the song with the Electric Mayhem.
Also, the more I hear the Doobie Brothers' "Black Water" the more I think that sounds like a potential...
There's a thread under Classic Muppets with a list of his appearances. You may have to flip through a few pages.
To add to what DW said, Gorgon was also referred to as, or rather played the role of Fielding the Butler in the Sherlock Holmes sketch on the Joel Grey episode. In this episode...
Ken mentioned that the Newsman may very well have his backdrop in his blister card. I think if we get the Newsman it's safe to say we'll get his set in some form or another. Right Ken?
Say Ken, what did you think of the earlier question on a Gorgon Heap figure? That'd be interesting...
