Re: Reply
That was one I struggled a lot with. I wanted a misunderstanding joke, like this one from the Bruce Forsyth ep:
Waldorf: "That Miss Piggy takes umbrage at the slightest annoyance."
Statler: "Oh, I usually take aspirin. Maybe I'll try some umbrage."
In the end I'm not sure...
SPECIAL GUEST STAR: JAMES CAAN
STYLE: MID-FIRST SEASON
OPENING THEME:
Fozzie joke: “I went to a football game so bad, the players were leaving early to beat the traffic. Wocka wocka!”
James Caan: in the Talk Spot set with the Muppets, including Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Scooter, Hilda...
Boober Gorg-
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!! You referred to the GUEST STAR as the HOST!!! Kermit is the host! Kermit! Only Saturday Night Live has guest hosts, all other variety shows from the 70's had guest stars! That there's a fan hot button, and you just had to go ahead and push it...
I thought I already posted answers to this!
Arab- Steve Whitmire (NOT Jerry Nelson)
Horse- Jerry Nelson
Spies- purple (Jerry), red (Dave)
I wasn't aware that Steve did one.
The rest of Warrick's answers are correct.
I distinctly recall posting answers to this. What happened to...
Shepherd- Richard Hunt
Arab guy- Steve Whitmire
Ali Baba's Horse- Jerry Nelson
Groupies: Blue face/red hair- Louise Gold; caucasian/blonde curly hair- Dave Goelz; purple w/reddish brown long pony tail- Kathy Mullen
Handcuff salesman- Dave Goelz
Spies: purple- Jerry Nelson; red-...
Her uniform is PINK?
Nitpicking, I know. On the show anyway, Piggy wore the purple that's on Strangepork, and the other two were in silver, the same shade. Like Ken said in the other thread, the uniforms are the color problem area for S4.
David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole
For that matter, anyone know if Series 2 is still available in stores? I still need to get Gonzo and the bandstand playset.
David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole
Actually, DogLion Beast is correct (it's just two words).
TMS:
#33 Madeline Kahn (debut- beautiful day sketch)
#35 Dom DeLuise (animal shelter sketch)
#41 Julie Andrews (closing # "Whenever I Feel Afraid")
#48 Cloris Leachman (closing #/sketch "Just in Time")
#55 Alice Cooper (closing #...
Byron-
NOT SO!
Nickelodeon, perhaps not knowing exactly what to cut, cut Rita's opening number- "Apache Dance", which features Rita performing a dance and slapstick with a Frenchman (presumably) in a bar/cafe- and replaced it with "Fever". In the Time-Life video, on Odyssey, and in all...
quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What about Alice Cooper claiming to have sold his soul to Satan and then Gonzo and Piggy start to think about doing the same...
Connie Stevens- "Some Enchanted Evening" (I just like this one- great look and feel to it)
*Joel Grey- "Razzle Dazzle" (one of the biggest, boldest, most spectacular numbers)
*Paul Williams- "Sad Song" (favorite- sentimental #, great song, wonderful mood to it- sublime)
*Ben Vereen- "Pure...
Holy crap!
When I saw that first picture, I thought he looked just like he did on the show. From some angles, it looks a still of the real puppet in costume! His face now looks PERFECT! I've never been so impressed with this line as I am now. You set the bar high, Palisades, only to jump...
