Does the content of the pilot match up to what's listed in the MC guide, or is there additional material that was cut from the original airing? As far as I know we've yet to establish if there was a UK version of the pilot with extra content.

Wait till you get to the Harvey Korman episode- Richard performs Piggy all the way through, even when Frank is performing a one-shot character (i.e. not one of his regulars). Shows that they really were trying to give Piggy to Richard and not Frank, at least in those early days when she was a...
Add Gonzo to the Bruce Forsyth listing and (it took me a gazillion viewings to spot this) a Paul Williams Muppet to the Paul Williams listing (if you look closely, one of the Paul Muppets is next to Floyd, standing upstage of him or behind him on the screen- you can just see the blond hair and...
Maybe he caught Linda Lavin's nasty cold (she was the guest the previous week, and in "Of Muppets and Men" talks about having a bad cold during her taping).

You mean this was the only pilot version they had, or this was the only episode they had period? The latter would seem odd as I'd heard they have all 120 episodes. Someone else saw the pilot version of this one at MTR, I thought he said that he saw the pilot version of the second, but perhaps...
Pretty please with oatmeal and carrots on top? Uh, no wait- with donuts and sesame seeds- no. Uh, with rhubarb and peppercorns- ARGH!!!!

Schreiber sang, it's just that his song didn't have English 'words' per se, just scat and nonsense, but it had a tune and Avery DID sing that tune.
Same with how "Ramblin' Guy" has a tune (not much of one) and Steve Martin sang that.
And Chris Langham sang "Hawaiian Cowboy" (again, words...
I am hoping to make a new avatar but am in need of scans. I'd like to get as many pics as I can from Wayne & Wanda's "Some Enchanted Evening" from the Avery Schreiber episode, but I lack the equipment to make the scans. Could someone help me out? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone actually CONFIRMED that it's music rights issues that caused the cuts? Where can we send an email to ask questions to those in charge of the set's production?

I canceled my order. I have Season One uncut already from years of taping and trading (sorry if I sound like I'm rubbing it in, I'm not trying to), so it's really not necessary for me. At a later date, I might get it (after renting it or checking it out of the library), but right now I am...
This is starting to not sound like oversight. Either there were problems with the masters, like deterioration, or the cuts are deliberate.
Now I know I'm not buying this.
And now I'm worried about "Fraggle Rock", but fortunately there are no music rights issues, not to mention that FR is...
Yeah, I just found that out today. I just canceled my order; I have been collecting for years and already have the first season uncut, with opening titles. I was mostly interested in the special features, and partly in having the first season uncut in digital quality, but if it's not uncut...
Remember Stulz, the first season content is still restored; only an extra feature- one that is not technically part of the first season or any season- has been edited.
I am more worried about what they could do to the Johnny Cash and Mac Davis episodes of TMS, and the two Janice lines in GMC...
Even the girls' bathroom and the air vents... priceless!
No Norman in the goodnights? Or SNL Muppets?
I had been thinking about doing a Chevy Chase outline, not w/the SNL Muppets but I was thinking about a plot involving the Newsman.
WHA????

I like that first S & W comment, an onion falling in Zoot's sax, and At the Dance. Didn't get the Hilda plotline at first until I re-read the part with George mopping the floor.
How do you come up with these so quickly?

I like the cold opening, the opening #, and that UK Spot- oh man, I never could've thought of that! That's thinking outside the box! Incidentally, could you give us a bit more descrip of the UK Spot?
David "Gorgon Heap" Ebersole
Oh man, how is it I'm only hearing about this NOW? It's so expensive... but man, does it sound worth it. I'm so torn right now!
EDIT: well, that didn't last long; I went ahead and bought it. Couldn't resist.

Fozzie, why not direct people to the Amazon.com link through MC, as ordering from that link gives a small portion of the order cost to fund MC?
