And the song makes so much more sense in the context of the movie. In the film, Hans is loathed by the village schoolmaster because he makes the kids late for class with his morning storytellings, and his imagination has rubbed off on the children to the point that they neglect to learn the...
At the point that that intro was taped, tho, both Piggy and Janice were still chorus girls (or at least Janice was doubling as one), and by that logic I doubt either one had a regular performer. Also of note is the fact that they are all singing in unison to a pre-recorded track, so whoever did...
And it was the closing number. Picture on this page: http://www.muppetcentral.com/guides/episodes/tms/season2/40_laine.shtml
It's one of my favorites, too- quite possibly the most beautiful number ever done on TMS. The song was originally done by the folk group Bread, and was also covered...
Who owns the rights to TGSCS? Henson or Sullivan? At any rate, if a deal could be hammered out to put 20 of 25 Muppet sketches from "The Ed Sullivan Show" on DVD...

I just realized that using the email through this site, you wouldn't be able to attach pics. My email is caliban51782@hotmail.com - thanks in advance.

I think the 'legs' line was a joke (the legs go, as in frog legs) and the 'tongue' line was Kermit being serious.
Side note: my 900th post! I've been here HOW LONG and have yet to become a Senior Member?

If you're speaking of why the episodes are in the order that they are on the set, and why they are numbered as such, it's because those are official episode numbers. They are set before the season even begins, and while they generally run close to production order, there are occasional switches...
I figure there'll be a Gorgs one after the Doozers one. I figure "Sir Hubris" will be on it. In addition to the ones you mentioned, there's also "A Dark and Stormy Night", "The Battle of Leaking Roof", and "Bored Stiff" to choose from, for a starting point. Wonder what they'd call it? Maybe...
I'm a little surprised at the content, as far as "Red's Club" (which sort of marginalizes the Doozer role) and "Trial" (doesn't this episode, I presume, end the Doozer-Fraggle conflict once and for all?) I would've expected more Doozer-centric episodes, like "The Doozer Contest" and "Doozer is...
Is anyone else unable to access the "Willie Meets Gonzo" part? When I click on it, from either Willie's page or Gonzo's, the DVD shuts off. Am I the only one with this problem?

I don't know either... but I can already picture Season Two being orange and fuzzy with Fozzie's polka dot tie. But I have a hard time picturing what other fuzzy covers would look like (i.e. Piggy, Gonzo, Rowlf, etc.), since most other characters wore clothes.

IMO seeing and especially hearing clips from both songs gives away too much.
And in response to Squigiman's above post, I couldn't agree more.

Musician/songwriter Phil Balsam and his neighbor, poet/lyricist Dennis Lee were the principal songwriting duo behind a good 90% of the songs on FR. Incidentally, you might remember the poem "Alligator Pie" which is also by Lee, from one of his volumes of children's poetry. Dennis Lee was...
You're welcome.
I actually got the list four years ago, I emailed the Henson Company fanmail link. I had posted a thread for it back then but of course finding a four-year-old thread is a pain in the keyster.
Like I said, Season Two is best in taping order. Come to think of it, Season...
Me too.
That's why when I made that tape of Season Two uncut (yes, A tape- one 10 hour tape which took me three months to make) I put them in guest star taping order. They actually flow much better in that order and visually things make more sense (i.e. the lighting/design changes that took...
Got this from Karen Falk of the Henson Archives Dept. (she's the one who sends the fanmail email replies):
JHC ARCHIVES 2001
Muppet Show Taping Dates
(according to production files)
Celebrity Date (week of)
Connie Stevens #2 Jan 19 - 21,30, Feb. 1,1976...
I wouldn't, because clearly the Kermit intros for the Kaye Ballard episode were taped at the same time as the ones for the Ethel Merman episodes, which indicates that the material for that show was taped first. Sometimes they had two guests come in during the week- Melissa Manchester and Gladys...
