I wonder why they did it that way. I'll bet that the puppeteer had intended to have the character's whole face in the frame but must've been standing just a bit too far out and then they didn't have time to reshoot. Probably the same deal with Beautiful Day Monster in the Joel Grey episode...
Ohmahgoodness! All those inside jokes! Wow, like that is too much, man!
Loved the Piggy part, Kermit hiding under a tie-dye cloth, and the penguin asking for an aspirin.
What season is this supposed to take place in, assuming you decided on a specific season? From the opening theme I...
It's good, just a little short. One more sketch or song should do it. Maybe it's me, but I have a hard time envisioning the first half of the show ending on "How am I going to explain this to Phil?" and a fade-out. Usually after a line like that, there'd be a regular sketch, like VH, Muppet...
Snerf, yes! I should've said that. The fact that they appeared backstage showed that there were no obvious black controls that would show outside of their usual backdrop, so feasibly they could've.
I think that in Season One they just preferred to stick with the main cast and chorus rather...
We've never nailed this down completely, but if you watch, just before it cuts to the orchestra, there's this black feathery thing that moves up the right side of the screen, and if you freeze it, you'll see a little bit of green at the screen's edge. We presume that this is the green hugga...
Frogster,
Do you have the TMS Season One set yet? If so, you'll probably hear what I'm talking about and have a general idea. Listen to Jerry singing really high throughout the opening # on the Twiggy episode (and getting higher throughout), and then check out Kaye Ballard's # with Thog...
I didn't see it at Meijer the other day, either. Of course, they didn't have the new DVDs out till like mid-day, they had been short on the midnight shift.

Forgot something- big!
I knew I forgot something.
I had thought there was a number that Jerry sang that indicated his voice went even higher than I listed above. Now I remember what it was, and am a bit surprised no one else has mentioned it.
It was "Dance", the opening number on the...
She only appears in one scene in the Ben Vereen episode, Vets Hospital, in which George the Janitor (also a Frank character) is the patient. This sketch may have been taped earlier, by the look of it. This one and VH from the Rita Moreno episode are the only times when the patient's head is at...
That's great to hear. I wasn't crazy about that new logo (anyone else feel that way?) I loved the original 'rock' logo and was disheartened when it was replaced for the new videos. That original logo just had such a classic feel, the font and design were just so perfect for the series. Also...
Season Two. It's from episode #35, "The Wizard of Fraggle Rock", sung by a shifty wizard who looks an awful lot like Wembley.
If you ever want to find more FR info, probably the best web resource is Chris's Fraggle Rock Page. It has an episode guide, song index and lyrics, guide to all...
Hey, that's one of the ones I was predicting. I figured it'd be a Doozer tangential one, either this or "Boober and the Glob", and come to think of it, another bonus episode, the one on "Dance Your Cares Away", was "Home is Where the Trash Is". Maybe this is a good indication of how to predict...
What do you think about the idea of having the monsters trample the Newsman at the end of the sketch? Could make a good double-punchline (being that first they escape and catch their captor, and second that they trample the narrator while running to wherever they're escaping to).
David...
Are the special features all on one disk or are they spread out?
Also, you guys know yet what the bonus episode is on the Doozer DVD?

Well, by now we all know about the songs/sketches omitted from TMS Season One on DVD. What I want to know is, knowing that the episodes run in uncut and cut for time formats with those omitted sketches, would Disney still be able to broadcast them with the missing material, or do the music...
