Sorry for missing this thread, sending birthday wishes to a great guy who's both :shifty: and almost half of fifty at the same time. :batty:
:excited: :insatiable: :zany:
Happy birthday and hope you had a good celebration.
Twas the night before Cryptmas.
And all through Apartment 1.
The monsters and fiends.
Were comofortably having fun.
Dressed in our respective nighttime pajamas.
Round the TV we all gather near.
Watching and singing along with glee.
As Jack spreads his brand of holiday fear.
The stockings are...
Don't do it myself because the bells from our staircase gates would wake everyone else (namely Mom) here at home. But I'm proud as a Muppet fan that this has become a tradition for the entire community.
*Leaves some number cookies for Josh and Fraggee.
Hmm, should've remembered my mittens. :smirk:
Thanks to everyone who's posted in here expressing birthday wishes. For some reason though I'm not getting any email notifications as to new posts being posted in this thread, and it's not due to not coming back into the thread after the last post was posted either.
Just sending some birthday wishes to a forum friend from back when I first joined, when I was posting daily Sesame episode breakdowns in the 200's. Becky's a great person, hope she has a happy birthday today with her friends/family.
:excited:  :insatiable:
So should there be a 41-cannon/thunderclap salute? Nah, the well wishes from everyone here are enough, thanks.
Just got back... Family dinner at Chili's, had me the burger that comes with onion rings already piled onto the patty/bun.
Usually, molten cakes are good enough for a birthday dinner...
:news: Toughpigs just posted an article with photos of the three Gelfling protagonists and a voice cast list for both Gelflings and Skekses/Mystics. Mark Hamil, noted Muppet guest star will be involved, as well as Harvey Firestein who previously appeared on Sesame Street. Helena Bonnam Carter...
If when watching the current batch of Jimmy Dean Sausage commercials you keep asking "Where's Rowlf?" like Leslie Ann Warren in the episode of TMS when he was tied up by Marvin Suggs.
:ouch: I saw Marvin doing it.
Suggs: I zink I will call you ze Finkelphones.
Would love to go as an early self-birthday treat, but there aren't any Fathom-affiliated theaters here. :(
Eh, at least I can listen to the Emmet Otter soundtrack as well as the songs and quotes from The Bells of Fraggle Rock on MCR for the rest of the month. :jim:
The scare crew enjoys a breakfast of some crunchy cereal, Ed and :insatiable: absently humming the tune to Breakfast Time since they also have mugs of cocoa or hot hot hot choccolat.
Each of the members of the scare crew have their own mugs, known to be theirs by the decorative images on the...
*The scare crew send a basket of number cookies with a 4 tied by the ribbon and several mint-flavored Doozersticks upstairs to Apt 4 for Kim and Lily and the Fraggles we've come to associate as her roommates over the years here. :)
Er, I thought that was Steven Colbert did about ten years ago in the episode of The Colbert Report recognizing Sesame's 40th anniversary.
:sing: How many is 3?
Colbert: Mao, Hitler, and Stallin. That's how many.
Colbert: I say Cookie Monster is a letter of the alphabet. Jam him in there...
The scare crew send a batch of wrapped number cookies, of all three varities, wrapped in our signature bat-print paper with a 3 cookie held by the bow at Apt 3 along with a birthday (Bearthday?) card for Bryan.
After that, the members of the scare crew continue their various attempts at...
Listening to MCR now and I am pleasantly impressed that the transitions are better, allowing the last little bits of songs to play out being heard without the next song stepping on its toes like how now we get Big Bird commenting that he loves carols at the end of Deck the Halls from MFC. If...
:insatiable: *Sniffing around. Me smell something in the air.
Ed, singing, There's magic in the air this evening, magic in the air.
:insatiable: No, me serious. Me smelling something me no can put finger on...
*A thunderclap goes off with a timer alarm from the kitchen.
:insatiable: Wait...
Eh, that's because CBS owns both the original separate Rudolph and Frosty specials airing them now in the holiday programming season. The other specials I grew up that are now on AMC include the RB Jack Frost special, (not the horror movie nor the movie with Michael Keaton nor the Russian fairy...
*Hums the melody to The Question Song.
Rudolph is tonight on CBS? Huh, hadn't heard it announced. Then again, I haven't been watching any football this season like I use to. That and almost all the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials have been bought by AMC which isn't part of my TV provider...
Quibble? Heard dogs like :sympathy: ate that stuff up.
*Feelings of gladness that we shared our meals this past weekend with all the roomies here who decided to show up.
And we can look forward to begin deadcorating for Cryptmas. :)
I'm guessing the reason the Christmas music was started on Monday was so you would have about the same amount of time for the merrython as usual, more or less a month from November 26 to December 25 2018.
BTW: There are three songs from The Great Santa Claus Switch that are missing, can send...
