There was another one where the apartment got flooded. Ernie kept getting a glass of water from the kitchen faucet, and taking it outside. Bert was trying to figure out what he was doing, and then Ernie explained that the kitchen faucet was broken, and the floor in the kitchen was flooding, and...
I think that occasionally, in the early 90s, instead of having the credits with Barkley and the kids, it had Big Bird and kids taking a walk through Central Park, but I don't think it was used very often.
Well, I don't know about the ratings for the newer episodes. I have been told that they're doing quite well, but I don't know that for a fact. We don't even know if PBS is going to renew the contract for Sesame Street 2 years from now. But I don't really care if they make new episodes like...
What do you mean SHORTENED to 15 minutes? The segments have been made LONGER, not shorter. Like the uncut Street Scene, Journey to Ernie, and the 15-minute Elmo's World.
Lets get back on the subject of Noggin.
But again, sadly, all those old shows they had on Noggin in the very beginning were mainly meant to be filler. They didn't have any shows of their own, so they had to fill space with something, so they decided to fill it with old programming from CTW...
I used to love that African Counting series. It used to be my favorite. They still use some of the number films from the early 90s. But they never did a version for number 20.
There was also this one called "Rubber Stamps." It went like this:
A fish holding something and a 1 came spewing...
I don't mean to confuse you. When I said that it's all very complicated, I meant that child development has changed a lot within the last 30 years. For instance, a 7-year-old today is equivalent to a 10-year-old 30 years ago. So part of the reason why the audience has gotten so much younger...
Ok, let's get back on the subject of the box set.
I am not happy with their selection. I would like to see the ones that were mentioned in this thread on there, too. And I wouldn't include anything that was post-Season 25. I guess I liked some of the old celebrity appearances, but not so much...
There was another version of Sleeping Beauty where The Prince kissed Sleeping Beauty, and she did wake up, but then The Prince fell asleep!
An early Cinderella news flash was at the ball, and he interviews Cinderella and Prince Charming. I remember he dropped the glass slipper and broke it at...
That would be a great idea! Someone already thought of it before!
They could also have a CTW channel, that would play all the old shows that were on Noggin at one time, like Sesame Street Unpaved, The Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact, Square One TV, and 123 Sesame Street Season 25. How does...
I do have a show that has the Sleeping Beauty that you're asking about. Now the show has some problems, but I don't know about that particular sketch.
The Cinderella one that you're talking about I don't have. I have seen it on Plaza Sésamo, but I have never even seen it in English. Didn't...
Sadly, I don't think that will happen. They have done research saying that kids don't like those old characters anymore, because they're too old-fashioned, especially Bert. I think they like Ernie, since he has his own part now too, and kids still like Big Bird. Now, I have been told that Global...
