Okay, this might not be the right place to post this, but then again, it may be. See, I need some help with something.
You all know who Hilary Duff is? Well, she is very young, sweet, talented, and beautiful. But I am very jealous of her, because she's so famous. I really wish I were, because...
Well, it wasn't just those 2 channels. Remember, there's also channel 11 out of New Hampshire (if you have cable). And channel 36 from Rhode Island (but I don't know if you get that where you live). We get all 4 of them, and back in the day, altogether, here's how much it was on:
WGBH 2
7am...
Well, sadly, there are parents who think that anything from when they were little is dated. And, it also depends on the local PBS station. For instance, our big PBS station, WGBH Boston doesn't like Sesame Street, since they only air it at 6 am, and 10 am as a filler, and they never advertise...
I think it may have been Season 19. I have that episode. He wanted to stop counting, and become "Count Up and Down", but that didn't last very long, he resumed counting later in the episode.
This is one of the shows that I got from Gbrobeck, and he got it from TonyCool from the Square One forum. This is from Season 22, and it really brought back fond memories for me. It had lots of clips that were never on Noggin. Here are some of the clips it had:
Animation that I have never...
Well, I got it from Frodis.
By the way, "Farley Buys a Hat" is not exactly the same as it was in #355. In #355, there was a line, "Did I give you this hat? Oh, what did I do that for?" And also, at the end, the salesman says, "You don't want this hat, do you? Of course not. I want this hat."
Okay, it's a parody of McDonald's. But the food comes by really fast, so you have to grab it. Fat Blue misses them all, and at the end, he asks for the slow waiter, who is a turtle. So he decides to go to Charlie's for lunch, Grover's other waiter job.
It all has to do with budget. That is, from PBS and Sesame Workshop. See, over the years, they have taken a lot of money away from the show to produce new series like Dragon Tales and Sagwa. There are all kinds of arguments with this. They're not even making anymore new episodes of Dragon Tales...
Well, it's Grover's birthday, so they sing Happy Birthday, and he has to blow the candles out, but it takes 40 blows to get them all out, and it has subtitles.
In Waiting For Elmo, Telly and Grover are standing by a tree, waiting for Elmo. At the end, the talking tree gets really tired of just standing around, waiting. So he goes off and does Oklahoma, because he can understand it.
Well, they do still use all the main characters, but I miss seeing all the minor ones such as Guy Smiley, Sherlock Hemlock, Herbert Birdsfoot, The Amazing Mumford, Forgetful Jones, and all of those. But they thought there were too many, and nobody could remember them all.
Of course, they're taping new Elmo's World and Journey to Ernie segments, and they may use some old clips, but not very many. And it is very unlikely that we will see Kermit, they don't have a lot of access to Kermit, or even segments with him anymore.
