Actually, quite a few live-hand puppets have legs: Telly, Rosita, and more recently Herry and Cookie all have a pair of legs. (But Telly is the only puppet I know of to have two versions of him; one is legless and used for most of his scenes, and another is built similarly to Baby Bear or Ernie...
Thanks, Mike. BTW, concerning episode #871, are there certain street scenes that should be counted in the "Insert" list? (Clips that can be reused over and over again.) (NOTE: If Gordon's clothes change in those street scenes he was in, either all or one can or can't be included as "inserts".)
Walt Dizzy is from Sesame Street.
And yes, the loafers are the same puppets, but with different eyes and voices, so both can be included.
As for the names of the Fluter-Tooters, here they are. I'm guessing which name goes with which bird:
Flo (dark hair, and glasses)
Flip (pink hair)...
It wasn't from "The Muppet Show"; it was from a "Muppets Tonight!" episode with the Artist Formerly Known as Prince. Here's a guide:

I'm dying just reading these! LOL! Here's one of my favorites. This is the one from the Roger Moore episode, with a Pig Viking as the patient.
DR. BOB: Listen, my ancestor the viking was terrible at plundering and pillaging.
NURSE JANICE: He was?
DR. BOB: Yes, he blundered his...
1. The animals included three sheep; one white one dressed as a Japanese kabuki girl, a black one dressed in a pharoa-type egyptian outfit, and another white one who I think was also dressed as a kabuki girl. The rest of the animals included Buster the Horse in a blue and silver sorcerer's...
The Fluter-Tooters are those purple birds with curved orange beaks and round eyes. The first one built was back in the eighties, and had fuchsia feathers for hair, but Floyd had dark purple hair. Another was bald, and another was dark-purple-haired with glasses.
If the Count is reading this...
 Can't wait to see that list. (Believe it or not, I once had a dream that I seen it, but as soon as I clicked on the post, I woke up! I must be going crazy... :zany: )
You forgot a couple. Before the "Sad Flower" film, they show:
Film/Song: "Your Funny Face" by Joe Raposo
G/S's dining room: Gordon shows a clip of close-up shots of an elephant.
Speaking of, last week I was lucky enough to find a copy of "The Sesame Street Book of Puzzlers", and it's got pictures from at least twelve clips from the show, both Muppet and animated.
The Mailbox was a big, blue, industrial mailbox with round, blue-lidded eyes on the top. His mouth was the opening at the top, and was black with a red tongue.
As for the Clown, she appears just before Ernie begins his search; she honks a horn at him.
I also like the addition of the...
1. I really don't know the actual name of the puppet used. Phil used "Big Head" as the name for the banner in which he appeared in (in the Muppet Meeting Film, he had short black hair and a grey suit). I like the addition of "Fat Valkyrie" since she made two appearances: once during the "Noses"...
I've got that clip in a book called "The Sesame Street Book of People and Things" from 1970. It's divided into 20 pictures with subtitles. I can use a copy machine and send them to you when we are able to trade. It's about six pages long, and is slightly different than the original clip (at the...
1. The song is called "Let's Go Driving"; they've used it on their albums, and in at least one episode (#4031), that's what Baby Bear calls it.
2. I like "The 'Let's Go Driving' Family" better; it identifies a certain group and certain characters, rather than any generic AMs who drive a car.
