This is nothing more but pure speculation on my part, but i think Henson would have been involved a lot in the preproduction, but after that (actually probably slighly before so there would be a more seamless passing of the guard), i sense that Michael Frith was more of the Henson spokesperson...
It instills a lot of confidence in the process when you vote in an election where the votes are being tallied by The Count! So much better than putting your faith in a Diebold voting machine ;)
You realize of course that a question like that begs two different answers...the literal actual size of the puppet itself and how tall it is in "TVLand" where one allows for the suspension of disbelief (ie if all the Muppets were actually the size of the puppets, even considering feet, most...
This is kind of an interesting fan fic since it's more a fic about a promotion which i think is a cool idea...i'd be interested in seeing some other fan fics from people about what kind of things they might have the Muppets do if they had a position with Muppets Holding Company.
...and btw...
Frogboy
I've read Wisdom several times yet don't seem to remember any anectode about subbing for a Bert/Ernie sketch, maybe this was a story he mentioned at the book signing but not the book iteself? Can you give more detail?
Hey, it's nice to see someone referring my site...though honestly i'm in the slow process of converting my collection to dvd - i've had to do a couple quick (and sometimes unexpected) moves in the last few years and it's wreaked havic with my inventory so i only have a very small percentage of...
That is a change which i did notice. Even though i can't actually listen to the radio with my system at home, i can listen when i'm at library (though usually because i have limited time, with all the other recent content that's been popping up, usually i'm catching up on some of that but i...
To each his own i guess, but i quite liked the last series with the live action comedy bits...am actually kinda hoping the next incarnation has something similar. Just nice goofy fun.
...and if you'd like to get some Fraggle Music and support JHC at the same time, half the songs you mentioned are on the 3 disc cd compilation of Fraggle Rock songs released this last fall...if it's not in your local record store, then check amazon!
Throughout the years, every now and then someone will come on the forum and ask "hey does anyone remember that really great mid 70's early morning kids' show, Hot Fudge?" I have many fond (though fuzzy memories) of this classic! But actual info on the show aside from peoples' memories have...
Even though it's been two decades (man, were does the time go?) since she was involved with SS, i still can't even picture her doing any kind of cooking project without a furry blue hand sneaking its way into the proceedings!
Yeah, with Sesame seasons scaled back to 26 episodes, these days it seems like they actually do more work a year on spinoff projects (specials, dvd releases) than they do the actual show so the strike has got to hurt the Sesame dvds quite a bit. With the strike impending, i'd bet the writers...
The Family is rife with obscure adsurdist humor which is totally my type (well, one of my types) of humor...i didn't get into it for several years as i initially wrote it off as a cheap Simpsons knock off, until i finally heard so many good things about it that i checked it out and was...
I'll admit that when it was originally aired, i didn't pay close attention to Muppet Babies...i'd watch it when i could (or felt like it) but didn't fanatically follow it like i would other Henson productions, so if i missed an episode here or there, or went weeks or months at a time, no big...
Well i loves me my food and i've many food cravings throughout the times but unfortunately that eventually manifested to my current state...while i could eat tons of food when i was a teen and not get fat that would eventually change when i got in my 20's (and due to various times of severe...
...and the other eats fried chicken and pizza.
One has an apartment on Sesame Street and one is based in the swamp.
One has a collar and flippers and the other is bare although occasionally dresses in wigs and red sweaters.
Well okay maybe that last one's not true.
<Inset that bo-wanga spring noise when someone totally has a major brain kick in> CD's! Of course! I've told you that because of my system limitations i can't listen to the Muppetcast at home at going to the library often isn't that great since with the longer length of many of the shows i...
Even though i haven't done any puppetry since my teens, i can tell you (as someone who's gone onto acting and singing since then) then being a puppeteer is just the same as any other member of the performing arts community...you don't go into it for the money and make sure you have your "day"...
I can totally appreciate and love Bob's voice and talent today (esp as a vocal music major), but flashback 30 years and school age d.w. found Bob to be one of the "yuckiest" parts of Sesame Street...his singing was a bit too "nice" and when that was coupled with his overly peppy persona and...
