That's basically the opposite of what he was saying. What he's been saying is that petitioning doesn't usually work, networks will only keep shows if there's something in it for them business wise.
I've wondered about that for a while. I wonder if he ever actually got to see the finished/polished script or if he just saw the original draft.
In some ways I kind of see what he means. I can see how a lot of the Walter/Gary/Mary plot could be seen as too cute (even though I personally liked...
Frank Oz really is an underrated director, it would also be nice if he got to write something once in a while, he probably understands the characters more than anyone.
I didn't know that, to me it seems like a movie lots of Muppet fans would love. It's very humorous but not too silly (it can be at times but the more normal characters balance it out), and it had a lot of heart but not so much that it became too sappy and it had a believable characters.
It is possible that Disney just wanted more recognizable names working on the movies. As for Mazzarino, they may be trying to avoid him since he's most well known for writing for a preschool show and he co wrote both of the 1999 Muppet flop movies Elmo in Grouchland and Muppets From Space.
I...
Yeah, that concerned me a lot when the show first came out, the fact that the show had almost no Muppet people working behind the scenes. It was all just people from the network, besides of course, Bill Prady.
Oh no no, it's alright, I don't like "Nicky, Ri etc. etc." at all. All I was saying is that I found it to be a bit better than most of their other awful sitcoms. The show is still pretty awful.
Sorry for double posting but, I was looking at the Muppet Wiki page for this episode and noticed that they actually managed to squeeze in 3 different number of the day segments.
EDIT: Oh, and I just realized. That behind the scenes photo of Zoe wearing the butterfly costume is probably from...
Well, sadly "Nicky Ricky Dicky and Dawn" is probably their best live action show right now, besides Henry Danger. Henry Danger is the only tweencom on the channel that I actually enjoy though.
Um, no. Most of ABC's popular comedies don't even have much to do with sex. Sure the subject of sex is occasionally hinted at, but it's rarely a major plot point. Modern Family, Blackish, Fresh Off the Boat, The Middle, The Goldbergs, none of these shows are about sex. If you even watched one...
Perhaps streaming could save The Muppets. It saved The Mindy Project, Degrassi, Arrested Development, Community and several other shows after they were cancelled. I actually wouldn't be too surprised if Agent Carter got a second chance on Netflix or some other platform.
Poor Ms. Baker, she doesn't deserve all the junk they give her at school, she doesn't deserve to be alone. And she has some really creepy fans out there on the internet. :p
