Big Bird's voice sounds really off in this episode:
Clearly, for some reason, they had to dub over all of Big Bird's lines, which makes his dialogue sound louder than everyone else and less natural.
Yeah, TV gets it right. They're even quite thorough about it, giving it letters within the PG and TV-14 ratings like DLSV when necessary. I actually remember being quite surprised the first time I saw a PG rating on a regular Cartoon Network show, but the more I thought about it, it makes a lot...
This is something I think about quite often. So many actors have left the show over the years, yet aside from a few like Sonia Manzano, Northern Calloway and a few others, we really don't know the reasons behind most of their departures.
Where do the bears get their money from anyway? We see them grocery shopping, buy food from food trucks, buy thousands of tote bags, yet they're clearly unemployed. Are they payed for by the city because they're wildlife? Are they on welfare?
UGH, I hate how difficult math is. And the worst part is, most of the math you learn later on is completely useless. As Fuzzygobo said, I don't need to know what X equals if I wanna be a plumber, an actor, be in the music business or really any job I can think of. Nor should I ever need to use...
The new Smurfs movie teaser trailer is out. Obviously it's too early to speculate on the quality of the film, but I will say I really love the art style they're going with:
Yeah, the ratings system has gotten pretty dumb. You never truly know what your gonna get when you see a movie. I don't understand how you can have a film that's PG that most parents wouldn't show their young kids, yet at the same time a movie like "Frozen" is somehow the exact same rating.
I...
My parents and I just watched the pilot. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to. I think my parents enjoyed it even more because they were fans of He-Man back in the 80s. They laughed pretty hard at a lot of the dark humor.
Frankly, I hope they gradually begin to phase out the...
I have to agree with you guys. I don't usually watch the show, but I just watched "Fashion Forward" and I must say, if every episode was more like that one than i'd watch this show a lot more.
Something really weird happened to me today. Some old guy in my neighborhood who was going door to door was holding out a piece of paper for me to take. The guy seemed a bit odd, maybe a little drunk. But he really caught me off guard when he suddenly asked me "Do you have a bi**?" . And I was...
Yeah, that's my biggest problem, frankly, the show was doing very well before and I don't think the target audience was asking for any of these changes. And as we can clearly see by the writing for the past six-ish years, the show was clearly trying to get back to it's original 4-6 year old...
I think the Powerpuff Girls had one of the most accurate parodies ever. If I didn't know what it was from, I might actually think it was a real cereal commercial:
"You think I named myself Black Vulcan? He** no! I used to go by 'Super Volt'. 'Black Vulcan' was Aquaman's idea. And I said 'Well maybe we should just call you White fish!"
- Black Vulcan of the Superfriends on HARVEY BIRDMAN:ATTORNEY AT LAW
One must wonder why Peter Linz was casually hanging out with Miss Piggy. I wonder what they have planned.
Yeah I definitely wasn't expecting that. Nor was I expecting Kathy Mullen to be their, but I guess they have tabs on her since they've interviewed her before.
It'd be cool if they could...
Good point! Disney probably wouldn't just bring out a major character like Miss Piggy for just anything.
Oh, and I should also mention, Kermit made an appearance in the video as well.
