I've got to say i'm a tad disturbed at the last couple pages of this thread.
Yes, we're all presumably here because we're fans. We're Team Muppet. We want to see them succeed and we're all very optimistic that this will be The Project We've Been Waiting For.
But, in my opinion, being a...
I have a tendency to mix up PotC (Pirates of the Carribean) and PotDC (Power of the Dark Crystal) - one of those "You Know You're an Obsessed Muppet Freak When..." things.
I love LOVE LOVE hot/spicy food myself - i'm the type who always specially requests the hottest hot sauce when i go to a Mexican restaurant - but radishes just don't do anything for me.
I didn't want this thread to get sidetracked with soap talk either (there's other places/existing threads for that) - a couple people took my mention of my taking part in the Disney boycott (which i've mentioned before/elsewhere) and springboarded on it...but the MAIN point of my original...
Fraggle Rock doesn't have that effect on me, but Sesame makes me hungry for cookies. Also when i was a kid, i always had this Pavlovian effect where i always wanted pudding whenever they played "Adding Is Putting Together" because i had the record and the phrasing of the title line "adding...is...
It never fails. No matter how many countless times i've seen MFC, during the singalong when Fozzie sings "I'll be home for Christmas - You can count on me" i ALWAYS expect The Count to pop up saying "Two bears! Ah-ha-ha...excuse me"
So aside from special situations like Frogpuppeteer's where he has a friend who works at a movie theatre, does anyone have any experience with asking a movie theatre manager or usher if they can let them in to just see a trailer without watching (and paying) for the movie that follows?
I mean...
Marvin Suggs: "I zought you'd nevair ASK!"
(Starts hitting Muppephones to the tune of Oob La De which ends up sounding more like OOH! AH! EE! OHH! AH! AAAAH!)
The Newsman was just ahead of his time. In 1976 he was asking "where do we get these nuts?" two decades before Richard Bey would scream "WHERE do we find these PEOPLE?"
Your concern is echoed by many. There was a too-long wait between season 1 & 2 but it pales in comparison between the wait between 3 & 4.
I personally don't doubt we'll get all five seasons. But given how messed up Disney has been with the timing of dvd releases and the pushing back and...
Since you won't find this information on any of the ACTUAL WEBSITES DEVOTED TO COVERING MUPPET/HENSON NEWS, here are the nominations that shows from the Henson Company received:
Outstanding Writing in Animation:
Dinosaur Train
Outstanding Children's Animated Program:
Dinosaur Train
Sid...
Wow - that is just really weird.
I mean, i've seen the script and all and i have no idea what the tagline's supposed to refer to.
The poster actually seems like it's for a different Muppet movie altogether than the one coming up!
Since the Daytime Emmys have often been like my personal "Super Bowl", (since i'm rooting for both Henson/Muppets in their categories and One Life to Live in its), when the reports come out as to which episodes each actor submitted for their reels, i go back and watch those episodes and the...
Bobo all the way! Beautiful creature - i could get lost in those eyes, looks good in and out of a suit, he'd make me laugh and full of sincerity and charm with no ego or pretension.
