So, um... yeah, I had a good week:

How's the weather where you are?

Just got back from Chicago where it was only about 50 degrees the whole time we were there (I had to buy a jacket), meanwhile back home in Texas, it's over 75 degrees.

The “What did you do today?” thread

Just got back home from Chicago yesterday! We got there on Tuesday, and the airport was more busy than i'd ever seen. There were beautiful murals painted on the walls, and on the bottom floor there was a subway station. It was both scary and exciting learning how to read the maps, buy tickets...

Yep, I seem to remember at least three different shows that were basically He-Man.

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4718 - Counting Hats

Y'know, come to think of it- most of the episodes specifically about math seem to be the pretty boring.

Sesame Street Season 47 Episode 4718 - Counting Hats

I can't for the life of me figure out why they keep repeating this episode. I mean, out of all the episodes about addition, this was probably the most boring.

    The Catherine Tate thread

I just don't think most people outside the UK would've noticed much if she was getting any more exposure than usual. Heck, most of the Americans that talk about her only know her for a couple of things: The Office (as you mentioned) and Doctor Who, and maybe sometimes The Catherine Tate Show.

"The Happytime Murders" premieres August 24, 2018

This is fantastic to hear! And knowing they start filming in a mere three months means that it's very unlikely to get the can at this point. Fingers crossed that it'll be good/a success. Now, imagine if this movie, the Fraggle Rock movie, and the SST movie all came out close to the same time...

Fede Alvarez to Write and Direct Labyrinth Sequel

Sorry to double post but, speaking of Happytime Murders: http://io9.gizmodo.com/melissa-mccarthy-will-star-in-puppet-noir-movie-the-hap-1794858671 Not sure if this actually means the movie's gonna get made because I remember them announcing Jamie Foxx as the lead a couple of years, but i'm...

    The Great Muppet Caper

That's a good way of looking at it. Really, LTS, is the Muppets at their most basic, which is a smart way to introduce them to a new audience.

    HEH! Work It's been Canceled!

Well, we can at least agree that a majority of today's shows get more praise than the ones from, say, twelve years ago. Heck, it wasn't even just adult shows- even Cartoon Network, Disney, and Nickelodeon hit low points around that time

That is true. Can't say I ever forgot any of their theme songs. But that makes me wonder, who was that group of people that always seemed to sing these songs? Almost all of these were sung by a group of a couple of girls and a few guys.

    Animation Conversation

I just discovered this Hanna Barbera show (Gosh, they had a lot of shows. I can see why the animators hated their job.) it's called The Roman Holidays. It essentially seems to be The Flinstones except they live in ancient Rome, their kids are teenagers, and instead of a pet dinosaur they have a...

    The Great Muppet Caper

It's somewhat enjoyable, as long as your expectations aren't too high. If you expect something as epic as Muppets Family Christmas you'd be sadly mistaken. However, you always get a sort of warm and fuzzy feeling when you get to see the Muppets spend the holidays together. Plus, it's got some...

    HEH! Work It's been Canceled!

Yeah, I forgot about it too, which is interesting because I remember them advertising the heck out of it when it was first starting. I guess that's the big problem with modern TV: It doesn't matter how good the show is, if there's a lot of stuff on TV it'll eventually get forgotten. It's sad in...

Yeah, i'll probably download this video just in case it gets taken down.

    The stop-motion thread

Oh yeah, I heard about the Anderson one a while ago. I'm glad to see it finally has a title (which sounds very him, btw.) Wes hasn't failed us yet, so I have high hopes for this one! And fingers crossed for that Laika movie to be a hit. Not only is clay animation an underrated form of animation...

Fede Alvarez to Write and Direct Labyrinth Sequel

I still don't get why everyone's being so negative about this when we have such little info. But at this point, I really don't care what the project is, I really want JHC to finally have a big production that isn't a CGI preschool show. I hope, if this does actually get off the ground (which it...

I never even noticed he changed aside from his skin getting smoother, like many of the other characters.
