Street stories are usually taped around september- december. In 2011 ,when The Muppets movie was in production around november 2010- february 2011, the season 42 of sesame was taped between march and may . So they can combine the tapings os the two shows... I think it would be more difficult...
The sketch parodies are taped usually after the street stories...and the last year were taped in May...so are taped every year..not like the street stories from this year...that were taped alon season 42 apisodes in 2011 and along season 44 episodes the last fall. I hope Susan, and Gaby would...
I think they just updated the set, and it looks more realistic than before for me...but the stairs were such an integral element to the classic SS set.
I think that in the last few season , the most prominent actors in the street scenes were Chris and Leela, and the rest of the cast acted like cameos, I dont know why they bring tv/film stars to the street scenes , because they eat the screen time from the veterans like Luis, Maria, Gordon, Bob...

Susan only was on a repeat of an episode from season 39 "The hat contest", but not in a new episode, instead she was on 4 episodes from season 42. Bob was in 3 episodes this season and only appeared on an insert in season 42. Although in each episodes they were, they had more dialogue than in...
I saw the season finale street scenes on the sesame page and I can say season 43 its the first season of SS that Susan and Luis arent seen in any new street scene....:(
