The “What did you do today?” thread

I read the entirety of Catcher in the Rye today! It gets a bit boring at times, but what kept me reading it was probably how interesting and casual the main character/narrator was. He was tough and kind of an a-hole at times, but actually really sensitive. A liar, but brutally honest at the same...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

You ever notice how one of the easiest ways to start arguments and get angry reactions on Youtube is to say literally anything. :p

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

Speaking of Youtube, apparently they're playing anti LGBT+ ads before LGBT+ related videos. Further proving what a soulless and pandering company they are.

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

Anthony Bourdain died. He was a great example of how Americans could embrace and enjoy other cultures. It's a shame to see someone end their own life, it feels even worse when there life seemed so full

Gordon reads a 90s Sesame Street book!

There's a lot of faces i'd love to see come back in some way, even if not on the actual series. Maybe they could have a series of interviews or a documentary with the cast discussing what being on the show was like. I remember Tarah being a favorite of mine when I was little.

    Broadway is Cool Again!!!

But the thing is, Hamilton wouldn't be there this year. They opened in 2015, meaning their nominations were all in 2016. But, I must say, that was a great year. Hamilton won everything and they performed like, three times. The whole ceremony was basically just a celebration of Hamilton with a...

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

Nope. Not at all. Well, to be fair, I do remember her explaining after Sam and Cat ended that she originally felt pressured to act more like her ditzy character on that show. But after it was over she was more comfortable being herself. Can't forget, she was really young. Still, the benefit...

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

So, two things... For one, I just found out that Ariana Grande has PTSD because of the Manchester bombing a few years ago. Also, more personally, someone I know is rushing into marriage. She's only 21 years old, really immature, and no one likes her boyfriend, lol. But they have literally only...

    Broadway is Cool Again!!!

I might watch for some of the performances, maybe, but this past year no plays have really stuck out to me.

    Broadway is Cool Again!!!

My favorite opening to any broadway play: Aside from it being a really catchy song, I love the way it sets up the whole play and establishes the characters. They even establish themes and styles for the songs that each of the characters are associated with throughout the play.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

The new Bumblebee movie trailer is out and it actually looks like it could be decent... I mean, the writers and the director at least look like they kind of know what they're doing. I mean, not ugly cinematography, a female main character who isn't overly sexualized, less in your face product...

Gordon reads a 90s Sesame Street book!

I did a double take when I first saw that thumbnail. It's great to see Gordan again. Seeing Gordon read what used to be one of my favorite books was really calming and made me feel like a little kid again. Also, I think I might buy the book, because nostalgia, but also the pictures are really nice!
