Okay. I just watched the two most recent Speechless episodes I'd missed and they were hilarious. Those two episodes made me laugh like none of the other recent ones did. I am now convinced that the show has gone back to it's clever and witty roots ;).
Here's my extended list.
The Simpsons:
-The episode where Bart sells Santa's Little Helper in favor of a Lassie-type dog.
-Homer giving a long tear jerking speech about how Ned Flanders is the perfect guy at church.
-Maude Flanders's death.
-The chalkboard gag where Bart writes "We'll miss you...
I know that some of the ones I posted as tearjerking may sound a bit silly in retrospect but personally, I'm always someone who has gotten emotional/sad due to shows that most wouldn't consider to be sad in the least and I don't care who knows. In addition to Muppets and Sesame Street, The...
The scene from the Dyane Canon episode where she adopts the little brown dog and starts singing to it always made me emotionally cry due to the overly cute and heartwarming feel the sketch had.
For some reason, I had issues with the Java sketch when I first saw it back when I was 4 or 5 years old. I didn't like it because the bigger Java got away with bullying the other one without any consequences. I thought that may have went a bit too far at the time and it depressed me a little...
I finally watched the three Robot Chicken DC Comics specials today. I thought they were really funny and clever, pretty much every skit was near perfect in each special. There were quite a few hilarious running gags (mostly revolving around the hilarious Robot Chicken-esque trope of...
Being a diehard Robot Chicken fan makes me feel like I'm an expert on He-Man, Thundercats, Transformers, and all the other stuff they regularly parody on there........despite never having seen ANY of those shows and all of them being before my time.
My Re-Worked list of childhood shows (which includes ones I forgot to include on my original or forgot about all together until recently):
-Sesame Street
-The Muppet Show
-Fraggle Rock
-Between the Lions
-The Big Comfy Couch
-Teletubbies
-Barney and Friends
-Dora the Explorer
-Blue's Clues...
I find it hilarious that somebody ever actually made this:
You realize Robot Chicken is WAAYYY too inappropriate for the Noggin audience, right? lol :p
Does anybody remember this old kid show from the early-to-mid 00s about a costumed character that looked like a big pink puff ball. Somebody mentioned this on YouTube recently and I'm wondering what they are talking about. I'm assuming it's not Kirby because he specifically said the round pink...
I recently rediscovered this forgotten childhood classic through Robot Chicken:
I can't believe I forgot about Oswald, :(. On the other hand, I think it's pretty weird how [adult swim] is already doing parodies of shows from the early 00s lol.
Okay.....it's official. Normally, I feel kinda funny crushing on two characters from the same series at once. For some reason, that just gives me a weird feeling and although I've tried to convince myself otherwise........I have a crush on Petunia. I can no longer deny it. I still like Giggles a...
I vaguely remember the dancing bear. I always thought he was cute personally but on the other hand I was TERRIFIED of the Grateful Dead bears so I can understand why he would freak you out :)
