I still don't see how anyone cay Mokey is "cocky"...to me that's like an insult to the writers (and being I'm a writer I'm extra-sensitive to that) because obviously she's anything but. But anyway, I guess some of just have to learn to disagree, *sigh*...
I love this show too...and you can get it now on DVD.

And its creator, Noreen Young, has a web site too.
Tim, that was a terrific read. Thank you for sharing those memories and experiences with us. I especially love the bit about the paper airplane and Sam being a blooper and Jim/Kermit's ad lib, lol.
That sure was a magical time...
Well, I just take opinions of characters, personalities, and dialogue much more personally since I'm a writer. And since I love FR so much, I'm that much more passionate, lol, and in a weird way feel I'm defending the writers if I feel a character or story element is seen as "something other...
Hmmm, I'll have to watch that again. Of course, one could say it Gobo was taking the leadership role upon himself, so instead of being able to sit back and laugh at jokes, he was frustratingly trying to get things under control...and I'm also not sure if giving his blanket away was...
Thank you, Bear. Mokey is NOT cocky. Gobo is cocky in "A Friend in Need" and "Wembley and the Great Race" (among others). Cocky is believing you're better than others and throwing your self-believed greatness around, and knowing it. Mokey does not do that. She is naively passionate, which is a...
Um, Kathryn Mullen is the only voice of Mokey in the show. She adjusted her voice moreover during season 1 than between seasons 1 and 2, it seemed to me. You will also notice a slight adjustment later on when Kathy puts more of an "edge" to Mokey's voice.
I love Kathy's voicings of Mokey. :)...
Very interesting idea! I agree with most of yours.
However, I wouldn't put Wembley as one of the bravest fraggles. At least, certainly no braver than Mokey. He's more fearful of things than Mokey is, IMO (just look at how well Mokey handles Junior Gorg), and she looks upon The Trash Heap with...
Lol, howdy Tom!
I've been around a bit...I've commented a few Fraggle and Classic Muppets threads, and over the last several months I've put up Mokey screencaps on Muppet Central "Mokey Mondays" from the season 1 set. Been workin' 2 jobs since January and workin' on getting my writing career...
Oh gosh...I just now found this thread, but it was definitely worth the read-through.
Earl, "WOE", thank you very much for sharing all of your memories, tidbits, and information here with us. It's all a terrific treasure to read.
As someone whose favorite "Muppet Show" (and Muppet movies)...
Um, technically she's not. Sadly, Kathy Mullen is once again left out (or didn't participate or was--hopefully--simply unable to participate). Why they couldn't just have someone interview her wherever she is if she's out of the country and send it in I don't know, but that's another story I...
Yeah it was a Doozer helmet, but maybe it was some sort of ancient Doozer artifact...looking like a helmet, but not actually worn. Or maybe it was a helmet and somethin' weird just happened to it, who knows?
The "La Gorgola" and Doozer ring were from season two ("A Friend in Need").
The fantasy world outside of Fraggle Rock is amazing and intriguing. I often wonder what's beyond the trees to the south, or the hills in the east and west. To me, taking it to heart that there are only three Gorgs in...
I personally find it more fascinating and interesting that there are only 3 in the universe. And it only enhances the silliness of all their royalty talk. :p
