Thanks, guys--I'm so glad you are enjoying my little stories. You have no idea how welcome your comments are. Actually, most of my stuff is just one big story--and yes, there are more installments, but some of them aren't ready yet. This will sound weird (but I know you writers out there will...
Scooter and Fozzie watched nervously from the bar while Gonzo and Rizzo were chatting up a table full of ladies. Scooter was managing to look a lot less out of place than Fozzie—which wasn’t saying much—and he shifted around and looked toward where Kermit was sitting. Something about Kermit’s...
Wow, Leyla--you made my whole day! I do try to treat the muppet characters like, well, real folks, and I try to treat them with respect.
(I have to confess that one of my personal favorites line is when Link doesn't know what women mean when they say "Let's move our relationship to a new...
Hey Frogster, I'm really sorry about the ear. It's got to be a bummer, especially since you had reason to hope. Keep in mind that one of the best-looking frogs I know has done fine without ears for many years! Keep your hopes up, though--medical technology is always advancing, and you have...
One of the things I loved about HP& the GoF was how much Harry and Ron acted like typical, insensitive teenage boys at the big dance. (Sorry to any teenage MC members, who I am sure are totally and completely sensitive. *snicker*) How very believable that was! You're not likely to learn good...
Loved that conversation! It had a very classic feel to it, with the relationship between frog and pig very saucy. I hate to bury this compliment here, but I have to say that I think Steve Whitmire does a fabulous job of improvising with Kermit. I'm not necessarily talking about actual...
I'm not only a Trekkie--I'm an original Trekkie. Love William Shatner (can't abide his new show--too nasty for me), loved the original, second favoriite was DS9--incredibly complex, layered storytelling. All modern fandoms owe Trekkies big-time, because we no only invented media fandom--we did...
I'm not a Doctor Who fan myself, but one of my good friends is a rabid Dr. Who fan, and he said that when one of the actors who played the arch villian died (from cancer, I think), then the actor who played Dr. Who did not want to continue in the role because it was very sad. A new incarnation...
Working on another one
Hi Hwesta! What nice things you say! I am working on another one now, called "Attitude Adjustment," but I need to PG the frog and pig a little. Keep watching--and it's great to hear from you!
There was a review of the 3rd Harry Potter movie that appeared in our local paper. The reviewer raved about it, saying it was superior to the previous two movies and stood alone (was more understandable to people who hadn't read the books) better than the first two moview. I took exception to...
Very nice dialogue, and I like the way you've portrayed the Frog/Pig relationship. Piggy's high maintenance, but she's the one that Kermit picked--even if she picked him first! Keep going!
Very nicely put, David. I don't with all that you said, but you said it very well (I'm a sucker for a well-turned phrase). What caught my attention most were your comments above about the inability of some of the PTB (powers that be) to understand the essential Muppet-ness of the muppets (now...
Emoticon artist needed
Sounds like a challenge to me--we've got a whole passle of artists on this board--can't somebody draw and post a laughing emoticon?
(says Ru, who can only draw stick people)
Foo-Foo
I have to say that the episode where Foo-Foo appears (and gets shut in a drawer by Floyd) has some wonderfully funny moments in it, and others that I just enjoy because they are so, well, character driven.
First of all, Piggy brings Foo-Foo back stage and demands that Kermit let...
If I had to guess, I'd say Annie Sue was just one too many pigs to deal with in a weekly script. Her main role, anyway, was to tweak Piggy because she was supposedly younger, cuter, more talented, certainly more perky, etc. Also never seen again--that I'm aware of--was Lydia the tattooed (sp?)...
That is SO appreciated. I was weaned on Star Trek fandom and sometimes fans can be, well, a little scary and weird. It's great to have your stuff appreciated (don't we all just LOVE it when someone likes our posts?), but it's unsettling when attention becomes intrusive or unwelcome.
Yes--calls him Corwin and doen't know him from Adam. (Or Scooter, or Fozzie) It's like--no matter what universe or timeline they find themselves in, the attraction is still there, pulling them together!
Now see, Marky--I knew you were a big softee. (A big DRY softee, but a softee nonetheless.)
That scene also makes me very sad, because there are a lot of us everyday divas out there who still have hopes and dreams. Seeing Piggy have hers come true reminds us that it CAN happen, and it DOES...
