Piggy has left the building
Now that the crushing pressure of performing the unfamiliar was gone, Piggy became much like her regular self—supremely confident, irritating, radiating diva-ness. “Of course I don’t need a stunt double for the motorcycle scenes,” she had said archly. “I could do...
Oh--so sorry, Count, dear. I guess the "mature" moments are not everyone's cup of tea. (I've tried to keep them pretty PG.) I did warn that this story was, well, ushy-gushy, but it does have a storyline and I've tried to stay true to the character of the, um characters. Hopefully, there will...
Stay tuned, Sara--you may get to see Vegas after all....
Of course he's coming--would I lead you on? (tries to look innocent--fails miserably) No--wait, don't answer that. Just wait until you see what happens when he does!
Good luck on your test!
Chapter 11: Methinks the pig doth protest too much
“Let me get this straight,” Howard said. “You want me to come to Vegas to help with the show. At Christmastime. So, instead of spending a quiet Christmas at home, you want me to come to Vegas where it’s loud and bright and noisy and crowded...
Piggy's wonderful hair
In the prison scene in TGMC, Piggy has the most gorgeous hair. Definitely superior to the 1st two TMS seasons. I wish her hair looked that wonderful now--the newer do is more modern, but it does not have the glorious excess that is so much a part of Piggy's character.
Humor
I would have to say, Marty, that Jim was not offended "per se" by grown-up humor. (I always object to calling peruile sesxual humor "adult humor," and prefer to call more sophisticated humor grown-up humor.) In TMM, Kermit and Piggy share an obviously romantic dinner and drink...
The scene in TGMC where Nicky Holiday is trying to make time with her and she is flinging underwear into the air has got to be on the list somewhere.
Ooh! And the scene in IAVMMC where she tells everyone else on stage to shut up so she can remember what she's supposed to be singing--pure Piggy.
I always thought Piggy and Fozzie were friends. They both have a deep-seated need for approval and popularity (which, BTW, draws both of them to Kermit) and they both crave the limelight. Also, if you love someone--really love someone, you have to accept his/her friends and make them a part of...
Catherine: (whispering because she's embarrassed) I'm working on our room layout, but I don't know what you mean by robe designs. Are these, like, bathrooms, clerical robes, graduation robes? Help me!
Piggy: (also whispering, but to Catherine) Ask him if they can be made of imported silk.
Piggy keeps looking out the door into hallway.
Catherine: (coming by with several bolt of floral fabric, a basket of spools of thread and a handful of sewing patterns) Piggy--what are you doing? You've been peering out that door on and off all morning.
Piggy: There is a weird little man...
That's what I'm here for
An air of suppressed excitement filled the set. Although everyone but Piggy—and of course Kermit and the crew—had the morning off, the place seemed crowded, and infused with an almost festive air. The ladies from Charlie’s Water Ballet had arrived to considerable...
Student daze
Meaning others can "lead Wembly around by the nose!"
Aren't words wonderful? (And don't you use them exceptionally well, dear! My own English teacher would have wept for joy to have received such a well-written, well-thought-out paper. Please continue to nurture this...
This is so totally weird
Catherine: Sara--This is so totally weird. Last night, when I read your note that you were going to New York, I ran to get an article I had saved about an exhibit--only to remember that the exhibit isn't in New York, it's in--guess? Go on, guess?--Washington, D.C...
Piggy: (whining a little) I can't sleep--my ears are burning.
Catherine: (as patiently as she can at this hour) Turn your pillow over to the cool side--I'm sure it's nothing.
Thanks for feedback!
To everyone--thanks so for the feedback! It's sustaining me in a very busy time and I appreciate all of you "silent readers" as well. God bless you, every one.
Scooter as a third leg- a very perfect picture.
I really like Scooter a lot--in fact, I'm pretty sure I...
As always, a lovely episode. If I weren's so busy being impressed by your attention to detail, I'd be standing with my mouth hanging open saying, "How'd you get those little song thingys in your post." Those were way cool. And I adore David Ogden Stiers--he's a multitalented man.
Is it possible to search for more than one word at a time among the posts? For example, if I see a post about someone's story or an article on the forum, and I want to locate the original post by title, either I'm doing something wrong, or it will only let me search for one word at a time. So...
