I'm thinking of writing a whole "Hallmark" series of stories about how all the ornaments came to be. Has anyone done anything like this already? (don't want to stomp on someone else's something....)
Chapter 25: Comical Enhancements
They had 20 minutes to change and get everything ready for the Christmas half of the show. Normally, Kermit would have taken a moment to rest and get centered, but once again he had something important to take care of. He went looking for Fozzie.
Kermit found...
It ain't over till the, um, well, best not say
Good grief, no, it's not over by a long shot. We've got literally months of time to get through before it's all over. We got to get to the Oscars (and it's only Christmas), to Broadway, and to the movie premiere, plus a whole, whole lot of...
Have to put in a vote here for ushy-gushyness also. Married men live longer than unmarried men, whether those unmarried men are in a "committed relationship" or not. In other words, having someone who has signed on to put up with you, warts and all (sorry, couldn't help myself), makes for...
Eeek! You're on to me! Actually, is usually the only time of the "day" that I have a little "me" time. Also, it's sortof like hiding Christmas presents for someone else to find the next morning.
I don't think that Kermit acted like a jerk, exactly, but he is the only "sane" person in an insane environment. In other words, he's the rational man reacting to an irrational situation, which is probably why it is so funny to us to see someone's bizarre behavior yank Kermit's chain and send...
Ahem--things that made my day brighter, by Ru:
"His gentle heart sunk somewhere down near the vicinity of his flippers." What a very nice and very apt description of Kermit.
"The only one who was facing anything alone right now was him."
Very often, people who are in crisis themselves...
Toady--where did I put those application forms? <opens all desk drawers, sifts through the file cabinets, looks under desk calendar> *sigh* I know I had them right before I sat down...oh! <stands, and finds application in desk chair> Aha! Ah, well--so much for the princess and the pea, I...
*The door leading to the Headmistress Featheringill's office opens with some coaxing and she steps out, adjusting her hat, which seems terminally askew. The carries a small scroll with her down the curving staircase to the main floor of the school. She places the scroll on the bulletin board...
Have to say I enjoyed Scooter in the Elton John episode because he has a very cool outfit at the end. Very fun to see one of the traditional characters out of traditional wear, and Scooter is almost always in that same satin jacket.
I also remember hearing that they rewrote (or maybe just re-recorded) the "At the Ballroom" music for one of TMS seasons. I can't think where I saw that--I've read to many muppety books and websites--but I do remember that. One version is peppier.
Balcony Barnacles
As one of my science teachers once said, it's almost impossible to prove a negative. In other words, you could prove that you DIDN'T do something, but you cannot prove that you NEVER WILL.
As so many have stated in so many different and differing ways, since we were...
Catherine: Piggy--have you seen my cell phone?
Piggy: (reading a fashion magazine) Little silver flip top? Plays a song?
Catherine: That's it. Where is it?
Piggy: Haven't seen it today.
Catherine: (ruefully) Thanks, Piggy. That helped a lot. THis sure has been the week for lost...
