Piggy stood in the doorway of Kermit’s apartment and surveyed her surroundings doubtfully. Kermit’s temporary domicile was definitely on the cozy side.
“I’m pretty sure my locker on the bus terminal set is bigger,” she said dryly. Kermit turned and gave her a scrunchy faced look.
“Ha ha,”...
(Catherine sneaks down the hall and tapes a parchment wrapped with black ribbon on the door of room #1. As she sneaks off, the ribbons slips off and the parchment unrolls. It reads:)
One little spider spinning out a web
Now’s the time for working while the house has gone to bed!
Two...
(Catherine rushes hurriedly into room. She hollers a quick hello to her dormies as she whizzes past and runs to her room to change. There is a suitcase on the bed and she hurriedly stuffs things into it before dashing back out to the common area. Fozzie, Kermit and Piggy look up from their...
What the heck....
Might as well weigh in on this one. Here's the real problem with this story: By the end of the movie, we don't actually get any closure. The bad guy might be changed, but he explains away years of killing frogs by saying "I didn't want to look wimpy in front of others."...
Fozzie: Um, hello, everybodee.
Oscar: You stink! Go away!
Fozzie: But, but—I just got here.
Catherine: Oscar, I don’t think you’ve got any right to be talking about other people stinking. Speaking of stinks, did something die in there or are you just cooking again?
Oscar: Hey!
Fozzie...
Fozzie: (coming up behind Catherine <Ru> who is sewing furiously) Um, Catherine--did you get that message?
Catherine: (looking up harriedly) Message? What message?
Fozzie: Um, oh dear. There was a message from Ed.
(Catherine looks blank, then the little bulb goes on.)
Catherine: Oh--Oh...
Feedback
Hi Vic--I took the poll. It would have been great to have been able view the previous VRMVs when trying to pick a favorite. The list made me aware that many must have been before my time. I look forward to whatever you will come up with--it's never boring!
Pigs in Leather
I was watching MWoO and I just have to say, "Let's hear it for diva pigs and leather"--and the effect they have on everyone around them.
More, please! <like, soon!!!>
Home
“They’re coming—they’re coming!” shouted Scooter excitedly. “It’s really them this time!”
“Oh, I was so worried,” said Fozzie anxiously. “I was afraid their train would be delayed again.”
“They’re getting out of the taxi now,” said Gonzo.
“Oh, like, look! They look so cute!”...
Okay--here's the run-down:
Kermie's Girl (of course)
Getting Swamped (very embryonic at this stage, but more on the way)
Somebody's Getting Married (more coming)
Cold Flippers, Warm Heart (hot lips)
A Pig Out of Water
Rainbow Ode (a poem written for Jim, retitled "Rainb'ode")
Hey There...
Chapter 31: At the disco
“Hey, nice moves there Mr. King Prawn,” Rizzo shouted over the noise of the disco.
Pepe “humphed” and ignored Rizzo pointedly.
“Aw, c’mon,” Rizzo said. “You’re not still mad at me, are you?”
“All hi know is that is that, if hi had two womens hi would—“
“Keep them...
Remembering the Magic
Being reminded of Jerry's passing reminds me of what a tremendous debt we all owe to him, and to the many other members of Jim's little troupe, for the communion that we all share now. Without them, we wouldn't know each other.
There are many people out there in the...
Chapter 30: Revelations
“—and he said they were delighted with the crowd. They had to turn people away, Kermie—and this is their biggest theater.” Piggy’s voice was hushed.
“That’s terrific, Piggy,” Kermit whispered. He lowered Robin gently to the bed and began to tiptoe furtively out of...
Yes--this is the visit that Kermit promised his Mother at the wedding reception. Will everything go well? Will Piggy fit in? Who's going to carry her luggage? Well, we'll see, won't we?
Oh--thanks, Ed. Actually, there's more of that one bubbling around in my brain, too, but it's only about...
(The sitting room to room #20 is quiet. Catherine is buried at her computer and Fozzie has taken himself off to bed. Piggy is sitting in one of the two lime-green tweed upholstered recliners and marking passegers in her textbook alternately with a yellow highlighter and a pink one. Kermit is...
Yep--I'm at it again. This one happens after my story Somebody's Getting Married, after the post-production of TMTM. THis is the visit Kermit promised his mother, and their first visit to the swamp as a married couple.
(Thanks to Leyla for title help!)
Piggy tried to still the frantic fluttering of her heart. The closer the train got to Kermit’s hometown, the more nervous she became.
“This is silly,” Piggy thought, trying to quell her agitation. “I’ve met Kermit’s family before.” But this time is different, her mind prompted. Before, you...
