The New Am I The Only One Thread

Weren't they polar opposites? In Space Jam, she was depicted as this sexy "I'm too good for you" character, and in TLTS she was like Amy Rose; being annoying and chasing Bugs. I barely watched the Looney Tunes Show.

    Where has everyone gone?

I am a member of way less active sites; like stuff you are actually saying (months without a post). I leave this site for a few hours and some ten threads have been recently posted in. As Pig's Laundry has suggested, not just Muppet Central, but pretty much every forum I'm a part of has taken a...

Are the Muppets as popular as they were 30 to 40 years ago?

Yeah, I was just stating my side of it; not that anyone's right or wrong.

    Who's the Youngest Forum Member?

Yeah, I by no means meant it in a derogatory tone, just the irony that the youngest member is too old for Sesame Street.

    Who's the Youngest Forum Member?

Jonathan Teka is 13, the "I'm too old for Sesame Street" guy. :p

Are the Muppets as popular as they were 30 to 40 years ago?

This has gotten blasphemous, even for Muppet Central standards. Every person must go through the "I'm too old for Sesame Street" phase in order to come out the other end. Old school Sesame Street appealed to both children and adults. Some of the old skits are as hysterical as golden-age Simpson...

The New Am I The Only One Thread

I know we have the Fraggle thread for this, but am I the only one who hates Funko Pops? "Here's an idea: let's strip the characters of all their personality by taking away their pupils!" "Yeah! That's great!" It just bothers me that something I hate so much has become such a fad. The sad...

    Animated Hotties?

Mother Gothel is frickin' hot. Probably the most embarrassing thing I'll admit on this site is I actually stopped watching Tiny Toons because I became infatuated with the character of Shirley the Loon; the valley girl thing is such a turn on. Probably the same reason I've always had a thing for...

Dave & Brian watch Muppets Christmas Carol

It's just like the recent SS video where Ryan Dillon wouldn't name-drop Kevin Clash; it wasn't necessary to, but I kinda got the impression he intentionally avoided it.

The 'What Song Are You Currently Listening To?' Thread

I actually beat the game, and I had no idea how reminiscent that was of Sonic! The ambient music has stuck with me most so far:

Are the Muppets as popular as they were 30 to 40 years ago?

Fall back in popularity. They never recovered from that; it would've been impossible to. He was in the process of selling them to Disney when he died; there was going to be a bunch more Muppet stuff at Disney World. I think there was even talks of them having their own park. So I think the...

Are the Muppets as popular as they were 30 to 40 years ago?

Well Kermit has taken a part in many a meme, and I think people will always like characters like Chef, Beaker, Animal, etc. just because of the novelty of them. Well the '70s and the '80s were their peak, and then once Jim died they obviously took a hit in the '90s.

    Favorite Christmas Songs

I love that Brian Wilson falsetto that fades out the song; the Muppets definitely did this song justice. Oftentimes I like Christmas music more than regular music just because it's more sentimental. Oddball pick:

Really didn't know where to post this, but this thread is as good as any. Really nice photo I found on instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bbm2DHxlzwg/?tagged=jimhenson

    90s Costume ideas

This is what I think of when I think early to mid '90s fashion: Moms wore really high jeans, which is now extinct. And people wore shirts with Looney Tunes characters dressed as gangsters: Girls wore those hats with flowers in them: There's lots of stuff... 1990 was pretty different...

Sesame Street Season 49 News and Rumors

Yeah, and an odd appreciation for Disneyland costumed characters - something I always had.
