It's a shame this didn't work out. I can't believe it's going to be 3 years since it first premiered, feels like just yesterday.
I think this one proved that viewers don't actually want to watch a weekly muppet series. Sure, they'll talk about how they love the muppet christmas carol or how...
Muppets Tonight came at a time when the muppets were in a disarray. With main characters like Kermit neglected & minor ones like Clifford put in the spotlight, it simply had no appeal to mainstream viewers. Personally, I think it was a solid series.
*Thread Bump*
I think it would be hilarious if Ed Sheeran came on SS and did a parody of "Shape of You" but instead it would be "Shape of U (the letter)"

Pretty cool! I feel like y'all should ask him all those really obscure muppet questions (like who played Statler's wife in that one TMS episode) before he gets too overwhelmed.
I haven't been here in a while, can anyone fill me in on if there have been any new details?
And tbh, this scandal seems so minor now compared to the stuff that's going on in Hollywood. Thank god the only thing Steve was accused of was being "hard to work with".
Muppets From Space is a movie that I know isn't very good, but I like it anyways. It's a fun film with some decent comedy. Also, I think nostalgia plays a factor for me since it was one of the first muppet productions I watched.
The news interview sounds a little better, but it's obviously still not enough to judge.
As for Steve's other characters, Rizzo will probably stay phased out like he was in the latest films. I'm sad that Link will probably be gone. Steve just barely got him down only to be fired.
Also...
As much as I'd like to think that whoever wrote that twitter post about Steve is a "troll", it seems like a very stupid topic to troll about & it actually helps piece some puzzles together.
Also, we all thought that guy on reddit who said Steve was let go was a troll and look what happened.
