While my Spanish still needs a little work, I couldn't help but notice that most of the time when Lola speeks, she uses her own name in various sentences, so I was wondering if her speech pattern is similar to that of Elmo's, in that she refers to herself in the first person?
I so need to get myself some puppet trees, but until then, I need to find some place nice and safe to keep my puppets.
I forget how I came into possession of this, but Steve D'Monster has a chair... it's a miniature lounge chair that's what call "puppet sized", as I'm able to sit him in it...
Is it just me, or has anyone noticed that a LOT of SST songs have a verse in them that are nothing but "La-las"? Off the top of my head, I can think of...
- "Sing" (La, la, la-la-la/La-La, la, la-la-la...)
- "What's the Name of That Song?" (La-de-da-dum)
- "Ernie and Bert's L Song"...
I can't change my avy, because I keep getting this same error message...
What's up with that?
Oh, and it says "upload", but I'm really only using a URL (or trying to anyway), instead of uploading one from my computer.
I honestly cannot believe that this never occured to me until very recently...
That none of the monsters of SST ever, if seldomly, called Kermit by his actual name; yes, I know that Elmo DID refer to him as "Kermit the Frog" from the hurricane episodes of 2001, but other than that classic/old...
Okay, I don't remember the other thread I started about this, so maybe this can be merged together when it's found, I don't know...
Anyshoe, I was recommended by a few here to use starch on yarn hair to help it keep some kind of shape, so it won't just lay there looking really bad... well...
Excerpt from the latest issue of Knoxville Magazine interview with Kristian Bush, a native of K-Town, part of the group Sugarland...
The burning question Sugarland hears frequently these days is, "How's it feel now that you've made it?" to which Kristian laughs and poses the question, "We've...
This is my idea of what kind of special targeted at old-school fans that Sesame Workshop should make for either TV or DVD for SST'S 50th... like the Old School DVDs, this would be for "adult fans only".

Chapter One - The Comeback
It was a sunny day on Sesame Street, as usual...
You know, there's a certain tune I've heard over the years, that just seems to pop up at any random moment on any random show on TV (which leads me to believe it must be a royalty free song), yet I have absolutely no idea what it's called, and I'm hoping maybe someone might have an idea...
Not familiar with either one of these people, though this Z is apparently a puppeteer herself, and is good friends with Marty Robinson, whom she did an interview with for this radio/video...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhGSa69Lagk
Marty's segment is around the 8:40 mark or so, and some...
I just got to thinking...
Sid and Marty Krofft were celebrated earlier this year, not only because of the Land of the Lost movie, but 1969 kicked off their legacy of large-headed, acid-trippy puppets with high-concept television shows, beginning with H.R. Pufnstuf.
And of course, Sesame...
Tonight on ABC Nightly News with Charles Gibson, their closing story was about SST turning 40 today.
They had a brief interview with Carol-Lynn Parente, Sonia Manzano, Zoe, Oscar the Grouch, Murray and Abby Cadabby.
Carol-Lynn mentioned how SST was banned in Mississippi because of the...
In watching Big Bird's appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy presenting Big Bird with "the original notorious B.I.G." bling-bling of a madallion, it got me to realizing, has anyone noticed how "ghetto" SST's gone in recent years?
Look at all the t-shirts for example! I actually have a few of...
I've noticed that nine out of ten puppet patterns call for a dart at the top of the puppet's head that's meant to be sewn (or glued) together...
What exactly is the dart for? I don't usually use it for the patterns I come up with, but I just got curious about it.
Man, what's with this? Here it is, the dead of fall, the weather's been cool for a while now, already overnight frost has become common, and winter's just around the corner...
Yet, all these bugs are still out and about!
Flies, bees, wasps, moths, aiphids, mosquitoes... whatever happened...
The Knoxville News Sentinel has a "Mini Page" every Sunday in the paper - this page is full of little fun activities like word searches, recipes, jokes, etc for the kiddies, as well as informative insight into whatever the topic is for the week.
This week's topic was all about SST in...
The pillows are against me this time... sure, pillows are coming in the color I would like to use, but the texture of the fur has changed, and apparently that "shaggy" monster-like fur is "out".
On top of that, still no fabric store has anything I'm looking for - Jo Ann has everything else...
I was perusing through Jo-Ann today to get to see if they had the necessary fabric and materials I would need to build new puppets; I need basically three essential colors in fleece, and managed to find two of those colors in the perfect fleece (I know it's not antron, but it is really fuzzy and...
Please keep in mind that this is NOT in anyway a racist/"they all look alike" post, I'm genuinely curious if this is actually Alan Muraoka in this Ameritrade ad seen on Yahoo!'s homepage...

I mean, that's the first thing that hit me...
