We do, we do!--
In fact, their "bonus episode" hush-hush is the only variable factor that keeps us buying the darn one-disk best-of's...Sort of a $14.95 lottery ticket.
Fortunately, recall this episode as not being too bad, so my investment's safe. :smirk:
Oh, wasn't saying it wasn't true--
Just that saying, say, "October 2005" (to use a Disney example) would be more of a clear indication that it was anywhere near to being finished at this exact moment...
At the moment, they're just telling us what we know already, and what we know is that...
Not really and no, seeing as it's pretty much the exact same flyer copy we got on the first disk... :smirk:
"Official definite final" has a date, price and cover art on it.
And, as noted, ABC's found they've had to work overtime to actually get the character-recognition bang for their bucks out of Disney's Muppet deal:
Seeing as most of us old-school fans on the board are well past parent age, but most kids don't recognize the characters, and Dis/ABC's not sure...
Jerry Nelson already has a few disguised Southern touches, but Gobo was pretty intentionally the Canadian hero, right down to his stereotypic Great White North accent, eh, and, in cold-weather scenes, even wearing a "moss toque"--
...Apparently, Gobo's "nationality" satisfied CBC's broadcast...
And don't forget co-directing "Dark Crystal"...
Nowadays, though, Oz's been mostly estranged from the group:
Aside from his existing distractions of being a mediocre film director, Frank also reportedly had a falling-out with Brian Henson over organization issues during "Muppets From Space"...
Oz described Suggs as having a "flaming ego":
An ENTERTAINER! (picture wild, flinging Grover-like poses) playing his Muppo-phones--
And as to what those are, think a Muppet version of the "Mouse Organ" sketch from Monty Python. :)
Been a while since I've seen it, but make sure you're not confusing "Sidebottom Blues" with the original "Boober's Quiet Day":
Like other "retread" episodes, "Blues" seemed to be just taking a recognized second/third-season favorite and trying to squeeze a little more juice out of it--
Also...
Producer Jim never really "got" the show and was too focused on the fact that every episode had an "educational mesage"--
While writers like Jerry Juhl and Jocelyn Stevenson were more oriented to the five specific characters and the philosophical Muppet-logic silliness of the Rock in general...
"...With our warm and witty panelist, Bennet Snerf:"
"Thank you, Guy--As the rabbit said, 'I'm very hoppy to be here.'"
"Oh, Bennet, that was warm and witty!"
(The part, IIRC, being a nose, which the panelists, all monsters including Cookie, fail to recognize, not having any noses...
Of course, remember that buying HIT doesn't simply mean FR (which is low on HIT or CM's totem pole), but also Barney, the Wiggles, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, and the Teletubbies.
...FR may not be a selling point for Sony by itself, but it's got influential friends.
Oh, unquestionably:
We're talking about a pig who considers herself a sex symbol of beauty, a pushy camera-hog who considers herself "demure", a "romantic" who headlocks and karate-chops her beau into submission, and a "singer" who is at times noticeably off-key...
Such a mass of...
I seem to remember 70's dull-guy character actor Paul Sand doing some early SS segments, but keep confusing it with the one about the clown taking off his makeup...
(Or was it Austin Pendleton?--I never could tell them apart.)
Well, one must set boundaries, to focus attention on just how good the good episodes were--
Mentioning "Inspector Red" as one of the decidedly lesser 4th/5th season efforts, for example, only reminds one how even they were recognizing "Red-Handed and the Invisible Thief" as one of the...
And also--as explained later in "Through the Looking Glass"--the various Muppet creatures we see in the sketch are the Jub-Jub Birds and Frumious Bandersnatches as described in Carroll's poem--
Which is much too sensible for it to qualify as a "weird" sketch.
Now, the semi-improvisatory...
Oh, no. Nononononono-- :o
The combination fourth/fifth (depending on CBC vs. HBO canon) seasons have more than enough true worst-episode fodder to make up for whatever missteps the first three might innocently have made:
The new tunnels.
Spinoff creatures.
Marlon as a semi-regular...
