Jim Henson Idea Man
Remember the life. Honor the legacy. Inspire your soul. The new Jim Henson documentary "Idea Man" is now streaming exclusively on Disney+.
Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
That's the standard obnoxious fan thing to do. Just all the sudden reject something that's not even meant for them as soon as its announced.
I certainly have nothing wrong with a new generation of kids falling in love with science through the Friz.
We must never forget there were horrible traditionally animated movies as well. And it's a shame that Don Bluth, a freaking artist in his own right, wound up producing them. I hated Thumbellina, and the only saving grace was seeing Yakko, Wakko, and Dot on the big screen. And only time too...
Oh yeah. I love that whole non-troversy about Leena Dunham. Kids do stupid things they don't know is wrong when they are kids because they're kids. She wasn't an adult who repeatedly drugged woman for sex. It doesn't measure up at all. But hey, know why that's a thing? Because Sarah Palin...
If I may...
The Muppets never had canon or even sequels until The Muppets and MMW, where the writers tried to cram as many Easter Eggs and references to other movies as possible, even going as far as almost getting Nicky Holiday back in the first film. TMM and GMC could never share in events...
They were at least clever weenie jokes. I really wish I could remember the exact line, but it seems like it's a five year old trying to retell a homoerotic joke he heard his parents laugh at, without understanding what it means. I love me some completely inappro-pro comedy in kid's stuff, but...
Still sounds better than that horrid "Odd Couple" remake. And really, Thomas Lennon is actually funny in other things. Here, he's just a poor man's Niles Crane.
That said, I wouldn't worry about anything with a "Something Meets Something Else" description. Those are for idiots anyway, and...
So, Nicktoons has been airing the two progressively worse Open Season sequels. I accidentally caught some of them and...hoo boy.
I caught some bit where they were trying to make a "crap past the radar" joke for the adults, and it came off like a five year old trying to tell a dirty joke he...
No no no. The show's really called "It's Always Sunny in Jump City."
Oh. And to keep things on subject, I highly recommend the new Croods prequel cartoon series. I've firmly loved all of Netflix's Dreamworks series, though I haven't watched the new HTTYD series or Dinotrux quite yet.
We got one for Christmas and Valentines Day, why not one of the most useless holidays of the year? The day you spend sleeping in and sobering up after the actual fun night that preceded it.
To me, New Years is the anti-climactic ending of the October- December holidays that results in the...
Dude. Massachusetts, April 1st 1997. 2 freaking feet of snow. Indeed where D*Snowth lives, they don't get that much snow, so I'm sure that's why he likes winter so much. But seriously, coastal storms are quite frequent in New England, and frankly getting a little too frequent lately.
I really, really, really really wanted to stay out of this, but I no longer can take it. I get where in a new normal of an endless political electoral cycle and it's mostly due to the big multibillionare jerks that want to make sure that they keep getting all the government cheese they possibly...
I'd have to say that you really don't need to see the movie to enjoy the show, though I do recommend the movie. The humor seems to be similar enough.
I have to admit, I like the movement of the hand drawn episodes, but the graphics of the computer generated version better. I also kinda find...
Like I said before, I hate Easter in March for the same reason the Easter Bunny from Rise of the Guardians hates Jack Frost. No one likes a white Easter.
Plus, longer time in between candy giving holidays. Someone's gotta tie some candy into Fourth of July or something.
Is there any reason that the TY "Peek-a-Boos" toy line needs to have the most annoying commercial in history? I really wish whoever was responsible for that one would have to sit through that awful ad for all eternity. It's...so...freaking...annoying.
Also, small complaint for a Pillsbury...
You've seemed to forgot New Year's. Then again, there's absolutely nothing remarkable about that lousy holiday, so I wouldn't be surprised.
At least ABC has taken to playing the Charlie Brown New Years special annually, so that's something I guess.
Also, off topic rant... UGH! Easter's in...
Dawn of the Croods premiered this week, and I've just seen the first 3 episodes. Seems that, like Turbo F.A.S.T. the show switches between more traditional drawn animation and more computer generated 2-D animation. While noticeable, both are quite well done enough to not be too much of a...
In the case of Spongebob, the writers that everyone hated left and the original creator came back as executive producer. The show has steadily improved since the release of Sponge out of Water.
TTG, to be honest, I have complicated feelings about. I indeed like it, but feel it has that Family...
I accidentally tune into Cupcake Wars last night, and Grey Griffin and Kate Micucci were there promoting Scooby-Doo something. All the cupcakes were Scooby-Doo themed. Didn't catch the whole thing, though.
That's a weird one. It's a weird puppet remake of A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, and clearly...
Saw this yesterday, probably at the least crowded screening in the country (the place was packed, but I was able to get tickets, and most of everyone filled the theater 15 minutes before the showing). It was fan-FREAKIN'-Tastic! J J Abrahms pulled it off. I was a might skeptical, but heard...
If there's one good thing about Christmas being over, it's not having to hear every horrid cover of "All I want for Christmas is You" for another 11 months.
Seriously. That and every cover of "Baby It's Cold Outside" was all the radio station ever played. I really hate how the station that at...
