I did a little research and found out the Creature Shop was founded in 1979, the year that Empire was being filmed. I have to agree with Andy that LFL did the work independently, even though LFL collaborated with Henson on Labyrinth. I'm not sure why LFL would have turned to the Creature Shop...

Well, as far as I can reason, the version on the 'Music, Mayhem, & More' cd is different from the movie. Note how Jim sings in his normal voice at the end rather than Kermit, as well as cutting off very quickly on "lovers" and "dreamers." A different take than the final cut, probably. I can't...
