I was stunned the instant I saw this. To be honest, I wasn't expecting it.
The more I think of cancer, the more I think, "What do other people (in their 70s, 80s, and 90s) do to stay healthy and live longer?"
Not to mention the notion of entertaining viewers without resorting to the same old shtick and dialogue used in the majority of ABC/NBC/CBS prime time shows today. They just can't take a hint from looking at the shows from the good old days, can they?
As you might remember, there was the commercial for McDonald's Minions toys, where you saw the Happy Meal box, Kevin, Stuart, and Bob in the same place at the same time. And believe it or else, there's one Happy Meal commercial featuring the Rabbids. It was bound to be made one day.
This week had brought us more new, rather interesting episodes. That one origin story of GRFT pokes some fun at a certain animated feature and had clever names (like Pacific Cod Steve and Mr. Crustaceous). What really made me laugh out loud was in the episode "Back to the Library," where Uncle...
Pooh-pooh to the TV-14-rated shows that rely on crude, clichéd phrases and actions. Whatever they have going to maintain the balance between kids and adults is something I definitely look for in a TV-PG rated show. I wasn't put off by anything in particular, although occasional references to God...
It's about time somebody started this thread!
You know, I once watched a Sesame Street episode of Jack Be Nimble going to the movies and was looking forward to hearing the voice of Wander, Jack McBrayer, who played the usher. When he came up, I felt giddy preparing to imagine Wander doing the...
I don't think anyone's added this to Minor TV Mentions yet, but I remember the Monsters vs. Aliens Halloween special - Mutant Pumpkins from Outer Space (2009), in which a trick-or-treater mistakes the Missing Link for Kermit.
I will admit, the way he whispers in the room service platter video really soothes me. And regarding the banana one, it seemed more like an encore of what was done in his lunchbox video.
I wonder why they haven't uploaded more of these yet. Better start throwing in more suggestions. Mine is a...
Has anyone checked out the new title sequence? I think it's great! Now that the three Crystal Gems have new looks, it seemed like an appropriate time to update it. It even includes more recurring characters in the scene where Greg's van makes a left turn. And let's not forget Lion, who appears...
You know, I've always imagined what the voice cast would be like if MC Skat Kat and the Stray Mob were reintroduced. Who's MC Skat Kat, you ask? Only a fictional, clean rapper best known for appearing in Paula Abdul's Opposites Attract video.

On second thought, Greg Cipes would be better for Micetro. After all, we are looking for voice actors with previous connections and some familiarity with hip-hop culture. Let's try this again...

Once again, excellent job on the story!
And it's pretty funny to portray cavemen as men who look like caves. Also, I'd like to check back on the previous stories to see if all 26 letters really were used. I have a feeling that is the case!
I always find certain instruments to be very interesting, like the synthesizer, the xylophone, and this one panflute you'd hear in an educational show like this... http://www.televisiontunes.com/Eyewitness.html
So if I had a show, I would include these instruments.
This posting about alphabet-based characters reminds me of a book series called Sweet Pickles. There are 26 different animals making up the letters of the alphabet, and each one has a different personality. And yes, there is an animal beginning with X: Xerus, which I believe is a term for the...
They really should start making a sketch about the letter C having at least two C sounds. Whenever they show words that start with C, they ALWAYS have a 'kuh' sound. There are others with a 'suh' sound, too, like 'celery,' 'city,' and 'centipede.' And let's not forget the CH words, like 'cheese'...
I don't get why some folks are dissing TV-G-rated shows. If you're looking for the family-friendly charm seen in older shows (e.g. Leave it to Beaver), the shows on the Disney Channel, and Hallmark perhaps, are as close as you can get nowadays. It really is possible to entertain audiences...
