Hey, guys. I was wondering if anyone had ever seen this. I didn't know this even happened until this morning. I stumbled across it completely by accident (i forget how i stumbled across it, but i quickly went to the trusty SNL Transcript site)...
I taped it too. It was a great special, but sadly not even the slightest mention of the muppets. They could've at least admitted their existence and just had a half minute about how everyone hated them (mucking fuppets). That at least would be something.
I guess they're just SO ashamed...
"That's called The Kermit And Piggy Story... that's where I've heard the song sung first."
That's the chap, that's the chap. Man, i'm suprised that tape still works. I got it when i was about 5, which makes it about 15 years of muppety fun.
It also has one of my favorite Floyd quotes...
I have a tape (forget the name of it, Kermit and Piggy are in a fancy resturaunt remembering old Muppet Show sketches) and i used to watch the "Lime In The Coconut" sketch over and over and over. Whenever i hear it now, all i can think about is the hospital room slowly becoming a jungle...
I caught it last night! Hilarious! I'm a big Chucky fan too, so i was glad to see that bit as well.
Thanks to you guys for letting me know about it! I mean, i've been waiting to catch Robot Chicken, but once i found out about The Electric Mayhem it became a mission!
It's the same video that some religious groups are using to say Spongebob is gay.
"In America, people have it so good that they get bored and protest things."
-South Park
I remember the first time i went (i was pretty young, about 4 or 5, i think more like 4) and i went on the river ride. You know, the one where you get in a little inner tube and just float along.
Problem was, i was one of those obnoxious kids that enjoyed the water but didn't like getting...
I can't remember where i saw it for the first time, but i just looked up my favorite Jim Henson quote.
"My hope still is to leave the world a bit better than when i got here."
I love that quote. You might want to look it up in a few places just to make sure you get it exact though.
I did a quick search. I found threads ABOUT his eyes, and i found threads regarding other KINDS of working eyes, but nothing specific on how to make his eyes in particular.
Any help?
Alright. I'm sure everyone here has had enough of listening to people yammer on about how movable eyes are done...
...but i don't care.
Anyone know how MahnaMahna and Floyd's eyes work? I may be starting a small 3-4 person puppet troupe and one of my characters is to be a monster and i'd...
Before i start, i just wanna say that i'm politely arguing. I'm not trying to insult. (don't need to start off on this forum on the wrong foot).
Iokitek Said: It's good to try and make others aware of the world around them. But I don't feel that Matt and Trey really know what's going on...
Brilliant writers
Honestly, as much as i love puppetry, i'm dyin' to see this one for the plot and the words.
Through South Park i have become convinced that Trey and Matt are total genius' if they write all that stuff themselves. They mix comedy and serious situations with perfection...
Great DVD, classic sketch. They did it on the Muppet Show or on Sesame Street too, it think.
Totally worth getting that dvd, everyone. Go get it now. All of you. GO GO GO!!!
P.S. Sorry i had nothing to contribute as far as advice. I flipped out too when i saw the face rotate all...
Hey, everyone. I'm new here to the forum (in fact, this is my first post), although i've been lurking for a while. I'm a drama major (acting, writing, directing, anything!) but i've always had an interest in puppeteering. Needless to say, i've pretty much grown up with the muppets (like most...
