I'm just hoping they don't replace puppet Yoda with digital Yoda in the original trilogy. That would be about the worst "updating" change they could make, in my opinion.
Maybe they'll use it as the testing ground for the Death Star weapon.
I'm not sure ... I haven't heard anything either way. It's probably too early on to tell. Fans originally thought that someone else was going to be directing Episode II (at one point, it was supposedly going to be the director of ESB), but Lucas ended up doing it.
:boo:
The most worrisome thing about the issue is that it sounds like he still isn't finished tinkering with the movies. From what I've read on the net, he plans on doing a super-duper "final" version of the original trilogy for DVD release once he's finished with Episode III. Supposedly, this will...
Yeah, I bought the original version on VHS before the special editions were released, just in case. I'm glad I did!
Well, there's an online campaign starting up about this (no big surprise). I first found out about all of this from a DVD site I visit often, and they were so upset about...
I agree. I don't really care if he redoes the movies and messes around with them, but I want the originals included as well (preferably nicely remastered). Lucas should follow the lead of the E.T. Special Edition DVD, which included both the original version that we all remember, and his new...
Yeah, it was a good one! I hadn't seen it before (I don't watch the show often any more) so it was cracking me up. :D
Good timing to rerun it too, with the recent hullabaloo in the Star Wars fan world over Lucas's announcement that he'd never release the original trilogy in their...
I was very sad to hear the news this morning. I grew up watching Mr. Rogers (as I did Sesame Street) and his wonderful messages of kindness, caring, and imagination.
Goodbye, neighbor.
Re: Re: Re: Will the Muppet Movie magic ever come back?
I only saw the movie once in theaters. I do plan on getting it on DVD (it is, after all, still a Muppet movie), and I know that I'll enjoy it more now that I'm not waiting for the big musical numbers the whole time. I agree that the movie...
Funny timing on the Raiders of the Lost Ark quote! Last night's South Park was a rerun of the episode where they spoof that movie.
Lucky for me, I'm impervious to your stompings!
For me, this is why the past two Muppet projects I've seen (Muppets From Space, and the Very Christmas special) just didn't feel like true Muppet movies. While both movies had songs, they just didn't have any of the fun musical numbers that all of the other movies had. The whole duration of MFS...
I nominate GWGumby and his wife, Tink (aka Tinkgumby). Both are very nice Muppet fans who have helped make both this board and the Palisades board a lot of fun to frequent. Plus, the toys would be going to a home where two fans could enjoy them! I don't think they have either figure (the last I...
