I think the main issue when it comes to puppets looking like Muppets is when it's build with simular material like fleese over foam and or neon colors. And there's so many different ways to build TV / Film puppets using several carved foam technics and latex foam. Take a look at Mr. Meaty /...
Chris Cerf worked on Wimzie? WOW, never would have known.
I totally agree with this 100%, that's what I do. There's even a Jim Henson quote on how if your follow your heros too closely, you'll accomplish the same exact thing they already have accomplished. So I've always took that quote to...
I wasn't sure where to put this, it would have qualified for puppetry news but since it's Henson related, there was no other place to put it. Anyway, check this out.

If anyone remembers this show, it was this Canadian puppet show...
Right. lol Well Jim did to all the voices for The Muppets during Sam & Friends as well as most of the commercials in the 50s and 60s. Then Jerry Juhl (who basicly has 5 voices lol A little boy, a little girl, Grump on Ed Sullivan, A mad scientist in commercials and of course Temanella lol) and...
Yeah like there's artists who can do so many voices and some you can just tell apart like some of the Muppet performers like Jerry, Jim and Frank. But Dave's voices are so far apart. Like how Gonzo, Bo, Zoot and Didget sound totally seperated that you can even tell. Even George the Janitor and...
It's David, I can tell. Because there's a point where the voice breaks away from Franks' and sounds more like a David Rudman voice since his voices are very recognizable in my opinion.
Right, but ironicly it seems like that to anyone who takes over a character. But yeah Eric's voices for Frank's characters seemed more raspy but when Frank does his character's they seem more relaxed and natual. But still it's amazing for someone that can do all Frank's voices very closely. As...
Hi, I can answer that question. During Sam & Friends and well before that Junior Good Morning Show, there were several reasons why he started puppetry.
(1. To get a job working on television
(2. A way to help fund his way through College
(3. To experiment with art and the film medium.
Jim went...
Anyone remember Bookmice, Professor Iris, or any other show that was on TLC in the 90s? I remember the slogan was Ready Set Learn so I guess they were all educational shows. I've seen some clips online awhile back, some I think had VHS releases and some didn't and none or one DVD. When I...
Let's just say that it's the second B swear word. I sent you a message. Sorry, perhaps I should have used the * star but I'm not sure if that would help. Again if there's any problem, I sent you a message.
Hi everyone, I didn't get a change to read the other posts but I was wondering, has Jerry Nelson perform Gobo in this or was this after his passing? I personally think Karen Prell was the only original Muppeteer that worked the shoot and Dave Golez just did a brief audio recording for Traveling...
I just wanted to give out the disclaimer that the trailer and film is for mature audiences, but I wanted to post this because I'm a strong supporter of adult puppetry.
Anyway, I would really love to see this because it's like a cross between my top two favorite kinds of entertainment. TV /...
I'm looking for this Canadian kids show from 1991 called Bookmice. I think it aired on TLC because I remember watching it in the 1990s. And there was a full episode on youtube which got me curious if there are any VHS or DVDs out there of the show? If not, who owns the show because I would like...
Just curious, what kind of New York accent is that? Brooklyn, Bronx? For some reason, her voice reminds me of Batman's Harley Quinn a little bit :) I always enjoy the classic 40s new york accent about as much as I enjoy the British accent. :) They are my two favorite accents.
Yeah I noticed that when I was looking around on my trial. I would really love it if Dinosaurs were to come to iTunes (love to have some episodes for my ipod) and Amazon Instant Video. Monster Maker is on Netflix too, and that's not even on DVD yet.
Update: I just wanted to mention I'm no longer looking for the fanmade DVD, and for the record any unoffically authorized DVDs. I kind of stopped tape trading a little while ago mainly for my personal respect to copyright owners in general.
Anyway, since I wasn't very specific with the...
Plus they aren't even on DVD so for now this is the only way someone could get these officially. But like many people here, I'm contacting Disney like crazy to release more Classic Muppets :)
