As someone who works at the mall right now (oh the horror!) I can tell ya that most stores are really low on popular merchandise because they either got wiped out during the holidays or during the ever-so-painful after christmas sales. Be patient! :D

I'm assuming that because Steve has been doing more characters (i.e. Kermit) he might not have enough time to devote to smaller characters. Also Bean was always the "cute" character and that seems to be something that the muppets seem to be moving away from. Or maybe the writers just secrectly...
