Just AWESOME!!! :) Like a Muppet Aladdins Cave!! Just about everything you could ever want :) So impressive and fantastically displayed.
Some really amazing vintage stuff there, love the Muppet crackers :) And where's that Fozzie plush from, the one next to your glass cabinet, is that a Muppet...
Ok, so that's not entirely true, i'll be buying lots of music this year, but really, who buys CD's these days ?
The one exception of course would be for THE MUPPETS Soundtrack, to add to the collection of the rest of the Muppet Movie soundtracks..and of course the old Vinyl Muppet Show albums...
I can't believe that ODEON cinemas are doing these as well now, that's great, I wondered why the Empire cinemas had stopped doing them, Disney must've decided to go with the bigger chain. I'll be sure to pick up a few sets when I go there, all of my local Empires have completely run out. So...
WOW!!! I want a Muppet cake!! that's amazing :) Who cares if it's not my bday until November, i'll celebrate the movie coming out :)
Also, I passed by these in my local Tesco, and as much as i'd love to have a Kermit backpack, there's no way i'll get through 20 of these!! I don't even drink...
Unfortunately Jonathan Ross is with ITV now, his show used to go out on BBC America, I definitely remember that, but it's unlikely now he's switched channels, i've got it recorded on my Sky plus box, i'll have a look into copying it down onto something if it doesn't turn up on Youtube, but check...
Another TV announcement -
THIS MORNING on ITV will be having a MUPPET TAKEOVER , sometime NEXT WEEK.
No specific day announced as yet. But featured in the promo for this 'take-over' were Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie & Rizzo!
It looked great, so looking forward to that!
I totally agree, where were the Muppet magazine covers? Total Film and Empire missed out on a Golden opportunity, or at least a green one, a nice green felt cover like the D23 mag would've been cool! But in case anyone missed it, i'll post the Empire mag special from 2 issues ago tomorrow.
On...
It was great, apart from an idiot British 'comedian' (i use that term lightly) Jack Whitehall sitting in the green room getting drunk and making smart-a** comments throughout the show, including one about there being a guy underneath the sofa where Piggy was sitting, with his hand up...
So last night at London's BFI (British Film Institute) was the start of the brand new LOCO film festival celebrating great Comedy in cinema. For the opening night they'd organised a preview screening of The Muppets, two weeks before it opens Nationwide.
Fortunately I was able to get 2 tickets...
I went to a store in Nottingham to see Fozzie, I don't think he'll be leaving there anytime soon :o He is awesome tho! Couldn't resist posing for a photo. Didn't you go to see him too Reevz? It's the same one you were talking about in the 'MR Fozzie found' thread I believe. PM me if you want any...
Also, very nice 4 Star review in the March issue of EMPIRE , with a great quote that pays just about the highest compliment to the movie you could get...
"Recaptures the spirit of Jim Henson's Early Days."
Anyone have any more details on the Premiere ? Is it a red carpet/green carpet affair ? Are the cast attending ? i'm wondering whether it's worth popping into town around that time to see if there's much of a buzz about it ?
Totally agree, much better to see it with friends and muppet fans, as opposed to the cast of hollyoaks and a big brother and reality tv types that haven't got a clue about the Muppets! :) Very frustrating, but that's premieres for you!
Will do , as soon as i've bought it, the special features were like a Retrospective on Fozzie, but I don't know if that's like the profiles they did, on previous releases, which weren't great, or something new. Will find out soon :)
