This is a rather basic request, but I need a copy of "Movin' Right Along," specifically the version from The Muppet Movie's soundtrack (rather than a clip from the movie). I have a lot of stuff I can trade with - let me know what you want and I'll see what I have! My e-mail address is...
There's a lot I like about this. I think Shia is starting to pick some more interesting projects lately and this one sounds like a lot of fun. I also think Gil Kenan's a really talented director - he's a child of Amblin studios and it shows. He deserves to be getting as much work as he can, and...
This was one of my favorite stories when I was a kid, and I've had the audio for a while now (believe it was also on a MuppetCast). It's hilarious and filled with good characters and fun. I would LOVE to own it!
I would recommend - and this is probably an affordable option - owning both the VHS with Kermit and the most recent DVD. Since the VHS cost you 50 cents, you get Kermit - but the DVD, which I bought for $10 I think, has some really amazing special features on the creation of the special. It's...
This is a really small request but I'd love an actual Electric Mayhem album. I'm surprised it never happened. I'm sure someone had the idea once and there are plans somewhere for it, but it just never came to fruition. Imagine how great this would be. New versions of their old songs, plus maybe...
I think the bit before the song begins is wonderful:
"But you know what the really nice thing about Christmas is? Well, it's the one time of year when everyone seems to be part of everyone's family. Everyone smiling at you, holding out a hand to shake yours, making you feel you belong...
Oh I know. I just meant that the joke also fits into the category of stuff that kids aren't really gonna get, like, say, the "Once in a Lifetime" video, but they're gonna enjoy anyway because they're so well-presented.
It seems to me we've got a few different worlds here. I say "worlds" and not "timelines" because this really does resemble something like DC's "infinite earths" rather than something like, say, Star Trek, which has done a stellar job of knitting every iteration of the show and movies together...
My favorite thing about this is that, even though on the soundtrack it's listed as "Forget You," they'll just be clucking. Which means technically it could be, ahem, "Cluck You." It's the kind of joke they'd have done on The Muppet Show. :D
I'm still really hoping for that Muppets Revisited album we were promised, with artists like My Morning Jacket, Andrew Bird and Weezer doing Muppet songs (it was unclear if they were doing them WITH the Muppets or just doing covers - either way I still want it!). Not sure how eager I am to hear...
I had just finished my freshman year of high school and thought "Oh boy I can't wait to own ALL FIVE seasons and watch them ALL THE TIME!" Now my youthful idealism has been squashed. My family thought it was because of three years of college but really it's because I don't have all of my Muppet...
