Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Yes, I get what you are saying. Usually I do ignore it, but sometimes a guy just gets sick of hearing about it, and a guy just needs to vent! Generally, CGI is not necessarily a bad thing, but when used to excess, yes, it can be boring. Story should come first. A long as you mentioned Star...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 41

I have missed a couple of episodes, but I too am upset that so much has been recycled.

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Yeah, sounds good. Though I have to admit that I am getting a bit worried, I'm hoping that this movie will still get delivered on schedule.

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Its not like I went out of my way, I recently ran across some of his comments by chance while searching through a site. And its not just him, there seems to be quite a few people out there who think that the Muppets are old news. Its really disheartening, and it makes me nervous about the...

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

I am excited about the Muppet film. On the unforutuante side, all of the Muppet haters (I.E. "Gigglesock" are predicting doom and gloom for the film. So I ask all fellow Muppet fans (and that includes any guests who are reading this) to PLEASE, PLEASE go see the film in theaters when it is...

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

BTW, I just wanted to say that the Gigglesock guy who comments at Jim Hill media is a huge jerk. Thanks, you can resume the discussion. And yes, this thread will probably be closed if we don't get back on topic. (But seriously, NOT cool to sneak into a movie without paying. If you are going...

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Yes, really. I'm not lying. :attitude: :p There was also that huge tribute to Route 66...and message about how life is not about the finish, its the journey. Next time don't try to sneak into a movie without paying...Its kind of against the law and morally wrong.

You know, NASCAR is not what the film is all about, its much deeper than that.

Is The Pajanimals DVD worth getting?

I have seen the Pajanimals songs online. I really like it. Its a shame that it seems to be over.

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Filming was supposed to start this month. If so, its possible that they are just being hush-hush about it.

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Yes, I agree. There's no doubt about that. Most of Disney's direct to video sequels have been pure garbage. And on top of that, most of them have had horrible animation. The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 was garbage, and it looked hideous. The opening shot (a POV shot looking inside a huge bell)...

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

That's just it. As we have seen, sequels are not necessarily a bad thing. So by saying that Pixar was "above doing that" is implying that they are doing something dirty, and that all sequels are bad, and that's not true. And whoever said that by making sequels to their other films besides Toy...

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Well, not necessarily. For example, there will be a Monsters Inc sequel in 2012, and the first film was kind of open ended. So a sequel was almost inevitable. The thing is, people get can get really attached to these characters, and they often want to see them again in new stories. If the...

The theater that you went to did not offer it in 2D?

Even though Dreamworks stole the idea from Pixar... ;) And I still say that Bolt was good. John Lasseter (from Pixar) was the executive producer. You should really give it another chance. It did well critically. and incidentally, it was NOT a kiddie film. It had jokes for adults.

The Muppets Kitchen with Cat Cora

Though I gotta say, from a on-camera perspective, she seems like a good sport, she didn't mind getting spaghetti dumped on her and she told them she loved it so they wouldn't feel bad. Plus, the whole putting her face in pancake batter thing from the breakfast episode.
