    Elmo Replica Here

It's not the worst replica, but it does suffer from a little issue which I like to refer to as ILLEGAL!! Hats off to that cool cat from Australia who makes all those dead-on Muppet replicas yet has the integrity (and common sense) not to sell them or the patterns he uses, unlike this chuckle-head.

    A Muppet Comic Strip

Seriously, this is the best Muppet-themed cartooning since the days of Guy and Brad Gilchrist and their old Muppet comic strip from the 80's. In fact, you've gotta be the best cartoonist to draw the Muppets since Michael Frith. Jeez, I hope I haven't said too much. At any rate, your work is...

    I am a big kid

Wait a minute! I thought I was the big kid around here! Man, does that mean I gotta share my toys? Well, okay, but the Fraggle dolls are off limits! Welcome to Muppet Central, muh man!

    A Muppet Comic Strip

Good god, your work is remarkable! I went to your website and checked out your bio, and I'm very impressed. What tools do you draw your comics in? I see a latent John Kricfalusi influence (Ren and Stimpy) in your work. Stunning. Just stunning.

    Look at This!!!!! *shocked*

I'm used to adult parodies of Sesame Street from as far back as the Mad Magazine take off from early 70's, but the weird humanoid Bert in this picture was actually kinda creepy.

    Who counts as a monster

As much as I enjoyed Muppets from Space, I can't allow myself to use that film as the definitive Gonzo origin. I always preferred to accept Gonzo as what he was without any specific explanation. So I'm content to consider him a monster, especially since he originated with the Frackles.

    Old Sesame Street Muppet Puppets

Fozzie muh man, I gotta tell ya, your icon scares me green (no pun intended). Frankenfoz is creepier than Sweetums and Uncle Deadly rolled into one. Must be that heavy brow of his.

    The fabric of history

Wow. Man, that must have been some durable-as-heck paper mache.

    The fabric of history

This is a Sam and Friends-related question. Does anyone know exactly what Sam and Yorick were made of? And were Sam's arms controlled by arm wires, or did they just flop around freely?

    Old Sesame Street Muppet Puppets

When I was a kid, I owned the Cookie Monster, Oscar and Big Bird puppets (though I'd hardly consider the Big Bird doll a puppet. There was a small lever that barely moved his mouth). My best friend from the 3rd grade owned the Grover puppet, and my girlfriend's grandma once had the Bert puppet...

    Chilly Down

All the songs from Labyrinth are brilliant, thanks entirely to Jareth himself, David Bowie, who wrote them all. It bothers me, though, that he doesn't ever perform them in any of his concerts, or on any greatest hits albums. I figure Tri Star must hold the rights to them (since they released...

    Celebrity mourners

Does anyone know which celebrities were in attendance at Jim Henson's memorial service? These are who I have so far: Harry Belafonte (He performed) Sam Raimi (he was dating Lisa Henson at the time) Rick Moranis (Jim Hill media confirmed this one) Daryl Hannah (Jim Hill media confirmed this...

    Serenity

I'm a big fan of Joss Whedon's now defunct sci fi TV show FIREFLY and it's very terrific big screen spin-off, SERENITY. I've been on a few boards where I've tried to share my appreciation of the show with others, but there's a whole lotta hostility and weirdness out there. Seeing as how I feel...

They need to make Elmo's world its own show!

All I can say is, I'm not going to trash talk Elmo, and I never wanted to anyway. Me saying he shouldn't have more airtime than any other Sesame Street character is like saying Mokey shouldn't have any more air time on Fraggle Rock than any other character. It's not meant as an insult, it's just...

They need to make Elmo's world its own show!

Calm or not, you're really coming across as unnecessarily hostile. I'm a Muppet fan just like you, and I don't begrudge you your appeciation of Elmo. But in turn, you cannot begrudge anyone their own feelings on various Muppet issues. Besides, I still contend that I said nothing insulting or...

They need to make Elmo's world its own show!

Maybe you should calm the heck down. I never said anything about booting Elmo off the street. I suggested not having him be the "stand out" character on a show that supports the ideals of equality and all encompassing importance. He doesn't need a fifteen minute block of an hour long show to...

They need to make Elmo's world its own show!

I like Elmo just as much as anyone (except Rosie O'Donnell. Her appreciation borders on religious). I just don't like how he's become the core focus character on Sesame Street, a show that promotes everyone as being special and significant equally. Having Elmo be the ringmaster kind of smooshes...
