Questions for Jim Lewis – October 18, 2008
From AnimatedC9000…
Dear Jim,
Do you ever get writer's block?
Not really. I first worked at a newspaper where deadlines were immediate and daily, so I learned how to plow through the “it was a dark and stormy night” phase of writing and get on with...
I don't think you really understand the objective behind this... This is for people to create their own Whatnot characters. I don't think they're trying to make replicas of Whatnots we've seen over the years--even though I'm sure there are enough parts there to make one similar. I think they...
I disagree, actually. I think if Bill is given the chance to have a scene as Rowlf he'll really shine through. When Rowlf appeared in a segment on "From the Balcony" and performed "The Christmas Party Sing-Along" on the "Green and Red Christmas" album he was very, very Rowlf-like, and I think...
Hey there Jim! I have another question about Pepe's book... The Muppet Newsflash lists the release date as November 4th, while Muppet Wiki and Amazon list the release as October 28th. Can you clear that up for us?
Also, how early in advance are you told that the Muppets will be appearing on...
Well yes... but you asked about Caroll too. :p
On the Green and Red Christmas album, John Kennedy performed Floyd. He was also Floyd in MWoO... I don't know about Floyd's recent Studio DC apperances, though. :smirk: I'm very curious though!
As suggested by MuppetsRule, here's a calendar of events for the rest of 2008 and into the future some. Feel free to add anything I might've forgotten! I think this thread should probably be stickied and edited often...

Matt Vogel is Caroll's understudy for Big Bird. He usually performs the Bird in public appearances that require a lot of time in the suit. Most notably, Matt was Big Bird in all of the Journey to Ernie sketches.
...That is AMAZING. WOW. Caroll narrating... that is SO cool. He has such a great voice for it too. They should've come to him for narration before this. Great news!
I'm thinking that Scooter, Floyd, and Janice will have a very decent sized role in this special.
Notice in the group picture... Sweetums, Lew Zealand, Rowlf... and Robin. :D
HAHAHA! Oh that's REALLY funny! I actually liked your Junior caricture! Great stuff! Keep it up! It's so neat that you're exploring all realms of Henson domain!:insatiable:
