As far as the Logo is concerned I think you should do one without Muppet characters, but maybe also one with (Maybe a character from each of the big three...Muppets seasme street and Fraggles) we can always hold onto it for later to use, but also at this point it would just be fan art and to my...
ah we'll make it work....if you clicked on the link I got a very basic free web space...right now nothin on it as I expected there would be but if you check te links at the top of the page it has things we may need down the road (includin a donation link which I saw as an option and put it there...
I like that video idea.... getting a better hang of the video stuff myself here...I just put up my 92nd video blog :).....This makes the website idea even more viable.... that being said I do have some very minimal experience with web developing. I think I can get us a free site if everyone...
Go fo it...thanks for being the one to handle the mailing as I didn't want to be the one doing it for the reasons I stated earlier. Lets keep working at this everyone. We've really got the ball rolling.
Someone suggeste Linoleum Tiles....I've only made a couple puppets and they were disasters but I found some plasitc that was heavy enough but could be cut in the craft section many years ago...I think it was a quiltin plate or something like that.
So anyone want to host a Hensoncon website? I think it might be something we want to do soon if for no other reason to have a place where people can come and ive suggestions and such. There are lots of places we can get some free basic websites to start off with at least. Just a thought as to...
I agree with the team Idea...commitee can be a tad pretensious at this point for a letter. If the letter is ready to be sent then I am willing to do it if no one else wants to. Just let me know otherwise if someone else wants to that would be great too. Either way we need to get this out there.
Okay so maybe they just have the physical/ verbal abuse part down :) Kermit and Piggy are so much more than karate chops and waving arms around frantically.
I saw this at Wal Mart recently...on a cake they had for sale but I'll assume it is there cake book too....usually if that is the case they will let you buy the toppers without getting a cake
If no one else wants to do the mailing/recieving mail thing I will do it. The key there is if no one else wants to though. As a teacher I certainly would know how to format a letter. (or have access to books that would show me how :) )The problem is I will be out of town the last week of June...
Agreed. We don't want to sound like a bunch of crazy Muppet fans who met on the internet and thought it would be good idea to put on a Jim Henson convention....... You know what scratch that last comment....yeah proffesionalism is what we need :)
I say we do it...Borples is certainly welcome to mail it out but any one of us could print it and format it and mail it. Again though we need to decide who will handle the mail becuase this thing will need a return address.
so can we take an informal vote on wether this letter should go out is as. I say yes, but signed the HensonCon Planning Comittee... Borples did an aweome job and I think seeing this example it might encourage some of us to see how we can write some of the other letters that will need to be sent...
Yeah i think Kermit is being more open about being in a relationship with Piggy but last night is the first time I heard him say the L word...If I'm correct he has said they are not married...though the Paper Towel commercials do have the wedding scene from MTM hanging in the backgraound
